K2 vs Nike

Which boot is going to drop first? I thought I saw an article about the K2 boots but no pics, my cousin was talking about the nike prototype that they are working on for the next sia

yeah I love my hot doggers but my friend has nike snowboarding boots and the are sick and he says they are supper comfy. I would def get nike ski boots when they come out

K2 Boots are due out in the 13/14 season... from what i've heard they are going to have a full line-up of different performance levels (recreational, frontside, park, and touring). I've also heard from a very credible source that they will be completely independent from Fulltilt.

Haven't heard anything about Nike boots, but could be dope... ^i'd probably wait to try them on before making such a bold claim.

i can confirm the nike boots.

i have seen them in person and they seem so comfy.

jossi has also been wearing all black prototype boots everyday i have seen him at keystone.

I always thought that the same factory made line skis and k2 skis, but I got replacement cables for my full tilts and the return adress said k2 skis.

I've heard a couple rumors about them and seen a pic or two, but I would love to hear if anyone has had a chance to try them out. I'm really curious about how they perform and fit. Anyone know the last on them?

There was some floating around in the 2013 gear thead. Although they look nothing like what I have seen.

This will probably get the thread deleted but here are some very early protos.

Can't wait to see these Nike boots... they rep told me 6.0 was about to blow up a few weeks ago but I never would have imagined this

No way that would be stupid...If anything it would have a BOA liner with a hard tongue and the laces just lock it down

thinking I might hold out on getting new ski boots for next year until those nike ones come out, they look very interesting to say the least

This looks like more of a liner, all good race liners are lace up, same for snowboard boots. If they release a raichlele design boot, understand that it will be the same as ft, dalbello, nordica...just with a swooosh. A gimmick,

The raichele design is from the 70s, doesnt anyone want more than ancient history with marketing programs and different color schemes?

The design is great, better than anything else, but the future is out there, and its not a brand or leather tongue....

dont fear the future, embrace it. i remember when people said you cant ski backwards, do you?the prototype acl destroyers mentioned were to test the idea of spring hinging the back of a ski boot to add to the forward lean produced by the plastic tongue of raichele design boots. it works like shown in video. we just couldnt afford to test with ski boots because they are so damn expensive. so we developed this binding and tested with snowboard boots which i believe were nike and burtons.

we've patented our idea and trying to sell to a ski boot manufacturer,

there are lots of people that arent scared, cough, ski bladers use them. as far as the proto is concerned, tele skis dont release, theyre not scared, some people are ready for the future

Yeah because snowblades are like a very small extension of your feet, totally different than a 180cm+ ski.

try forming an opinion with facts and support, i understand your a lil kid, but if they dont teach you anything in school this week, hear this. people will lie to you in life, people will be wrong, but if you cant form an idea, at least be open-minded to people that can. your not the first person to ski, and definitely not good enough to put down a product you cant open your mind enough to comprehend.so if you think nike snowboard boots suck cuz thats what a friend said, you're wrong. If you cant understand the technology that is allowing skiing in nikes, you should wait till its sold to you in a pair of FTs just like i waited for skis with two ends.

tele skis are 180 plus and locked in (i believe i saw a dub flip the other day)the proto skis were 150s, and super flexi

some are ready, others should be snollerbladin^

I just have heard from a couple of people that the Nike boots fall apart quickly. I'm sorry for being such an ass and bashing on your product so much, I truly respect your relentlessness.

That's a ski boot, I'm 100% positive about that. I think that one has like a 90 flex so it is sorta a bitch boot, but they are also going to make some stiff ones.

Nike always like to be the game changer so I'll be interested to see what they bring to the table

I remember when Nike tried to make hockey skates... that failed. They had to buy Bauer to gain credibility in the market again and just re-brand skates as Nike/Bauer... So that my prediction if Nike tries to enter the ski boot industry. Shoe are LOT different than Ski boots and Hockey Skates

.

Couuld be getting trolled hard by abe. BUT

The ones in that picture he posted do apear to have a toe and heal for skiing. I don't know how efficiant lace up boots would be, but they do look sick

I can't imagine them having a flex any higher than like an 80. I guess they'd be cool for a park rat but I would be scared to actually ski with them. I could definitely see them releasing a piece of shit gimmick boot though and using their brand name to sell it
