Hello OP! This was my first year of park too and it was everything hing I wanted it to be.
-Really get that forward pressure in the boot.
-Learn to ride switch on some runs, this will come really handy later.
-Slide some boxes, get a nice stance with forward pressure and pop onto it. Look at the end the whole time, not your skis. You should feel comfy and relaxed on the box, don't feel like your forcing it, and keep your hands next your hips, that helps a lot.
-For rails and jumps, time the pop. I know it sounds really stupid, but if you pop while your tips aren't even off the lip, you won't go as high, let like half of you ski be off the lip before you pop.sounds retarded but you will be able to pop onto rails better
-for spins, don't stop your body motion, have someone video you, youllmprogress faster and know what your doing wrong, spin your shoulders and head around and your feet will follow, don't forget to pop everytime
-Everything is about balls, if you don't try something you never know what will happen, looking back at the start of the season I pussyed out of tubes and easy boxes. Now that I see them from my ability now, I can do them with my eyes closed. They aren't as hard as you think, it's all about your mental block. You'll probly end up enjoying the feature you finally hit after being a pussy about it all week or day or whatever.
-just do you, don't let that one kid stop you from progressing and have fun doing it
