Just saw AVATAR.... Hoooooly balls...

I just saw it in IMAX,

anyone who's bashing this movie, or saying its not the best of the decade, needs to see it in imax.

It was the simple most impressive thing i've ever seen. Movies aren't going to be the same to me anymore.

seriously like i jizzed in my pants the entire time while watching it

SUCH A GOOD FUCKING MOVIE

im not gonna lie, its imo the best movie of all time

oh cmon give me a break with all the best movie of all time shit.
its super awesome and all but get real. the plot itself and the dialog are good, but far from the best.

So, because someone has a different opinion than others makes them wrong? For some reason I remember people saying this same thing about District 9 when it was in theaters.

where in my post did i ever mention people's opinions being wrong?

I'm saying if you saw it in regular 3D, or not 3d at all, the movie did not nearly live up to it's full potential, which is reached in IMAX theatres.

It's an entirely new experience, far from that of regular film.

saw it last night in 3D... and althought i had to sit in the very front row.... this movie was epic on a different level... go see it!!

I just got back from seeing this and holy fuck balls everything was insane...I saw it in 3D...the Avatars were fucking gigantic at the end standing next to the humans.

The plot was super predictable but meh I could care less the cinematics more than made up for it.

just saw it last night, this is probably the best movie i have ever seen, my number 1 favorite, even though i hate people who buy movie video games, i will probably buy avatar the game on my iphone and xbox!
i am in love with this movie

Just saw it and it was a little cliche but the scenery was spectacular, plot was pretty much dances with wolves meets fern gulley, oh and to anyone who hasn't seen it yet - sit in the middle so you can get the full 3d affect.

Saw this shit last night. It was awesome till i realize I spent 3 hours just to see ash catch charizard.

If you see it you'll understand what I mean.

haha someone said that to me the other day and they hadnt even seen it yet, they were so spot on. the dww and fern gulley part.

3. but he wrote it in 1994. the technology then wasnt advanced enough them for him to make it within a reason budget and get a product he'd be satisfied with. it was with gollum from the LOTR trilogy that James Cameron decided CGI-Human integration was finally advanced enough to create his vision.

Avater is EPICCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCC

the action and plot and dialog and everything was sick and soooo good.

before the movie they told us to please recycle the glasses and i was like pff fuck that im keepin em. but after the movie i wanted to recycle and save the planet haha

Almost 2 weeks after first seeing it I'm pretty sure this is my favorite movie of all time. The plot, visuals and detail put into every aspect of the movie just puts it over the top.

One of my favorite aspects of the movie is the fact that james cameron hired scientists to make sure it was as realistic as possible. Pretty much every part of the movie was 100% realistic, including the floating mountains (I can explain if anybody wants me to). It took place in a real solar system (Alpha Centuri, about 4.4 light years away) and even the space travel used known methods to get close to the speed of light.

Another awesome part was how good the facial expressions were using the technology they developed for the movie. I think its the attention to detail Cameron put into the movie that makes it so awesome.

see it high..makes it even better

just make sure you're not as paranoid about being high in public..that was no good

Where the Wild Things Are was okay as a whole. The director did a REAAAALLY good job of putting you in the perspective of the kid, and the intensity/tension of some of those situations.

For the record, Cameron spend 11 years and $420 million on this movie.

That said, it was UNBELIEVABLE. Actually, it was unbelievably believable. I promise that last sentence made sense.

So I guess I saw it a couple of weeks ago now. Visually, it was a stunning movie and definitely kept me watching.

That being said, for a movie that cost $300 million and was ground-breaking, I was definitely expecting a new, un-expected or unique plot. I found it incredibly predictable and easy to read and it's too bad. I'm not saying I didn't enjoy it, but it will not be going on my list of must-see "epic" movies (think Lord of the Rings trilogy, Gladiator, etc).

Beautiful movie but unoriginal plot.

Word, the plot wasn't too involved but I don't think that is what James Cameron was really after. You have to take it for what it is, which is a technologically ground-breaking film. I mean I don't know about the rest of you who saw it, but I couldn't believe that most of that movie is CGI. I mean the Na'Vi look like people in makeup, not CGI.
The plot was predictable and had some serious liberal political undertones of being green and anti-war but I tried to just enjoy the movie for what it was. I have never seen anything like that in my whole life. Completely blown away by the visuals, especially the forest at night in 3D. Wow.
Now if you'll excuse me, I am going in search of some Unobtainium.

HOOOOOOOOOLY SHIT. Pretty sick movie...too bad after the first two weeks of release they have only made $70,000,000 back

"As of Wednesday, the 3D epic has reportedly notched $1.14 billion in worldwide grosses, topping previous No. 2 "The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King."

yes aside from the predicatble plot the movie was absolutely jaw dropping..i couldn't believe it...the colors were just amazing I loved the setting

i saw it in 3D Imax yeterday. it was awesome. and yeah, it doesn make you feel like you're there. And it was the first time i've ever been glad that a movie was almost 3 hours.
