Judge William Adams Caught Beating Daughter on Video

A video of Judge William Adams hitting his daughter with a leather belt is sending outrage across the online community. Adams is currently the Aransas County (Texas) Court-At-Law Judge.

According to the description of the video, which was signed by the judge's daughter Hillary Adams, the girl was beaten "as punishment for using the internet to acquire music and games that were unavailable for legal purchase at the time."

"Judge William Adams is not fit to be anywhere near the law system if he can't even exercise fit judgement as a parent himself. Do not allow this man to ever be re-elected again. His "judgement" is a giant farce. Signed, Hillary Adams, his daughter," the description says.

Judge Adams' office has yet to respond for comment, and so it cannot be confirmed that he is the man in the video, but Gawker spoke to Hillary Adams' friend J. Andre Bardin, who said that Adams and his wife were the ones in the video.

"I know in the article you say you cannot confirm the man in the video is him, but I can. It's him," Bardin said. "That's his voice, that's his mannerisms, and that is his house."

No matter who is in the video, it is shocking and disturbing. It is filmed with a hidden camera in the girl's bedroom, and shows the father verbally and physically abusing his daughter. Early into the clip, the girl's mother comes in and begins shouting and threatening the girl as well.

Judge Adams says to his daughter, "I'm going to beat you into submission," and "Get on your stomach like a grown woman!" among other things.

The person who uploaded the video urged viewers not to blame the mother.

"The judge's wife was emotionally abused herself and was severely manipulated into assisting the beating and should not be blamed for any content in this video. The judge's wife has since left the marriage due to the abuse, which continues to this day, and has sincerely apologized and repented for her part and for allowing such a thing, long before this video was even revealed to exist," YouTube user "shoehedgie" said.

The video was taken in 2004 and uploaded in October. Aransas County did not return phone calls for comment and Judge Adam's office phone has been disconnected.

I knew it would only be a matter of time before this got posted here. I refuse to watch the video. I made a bad choice earlier this week by watching the dude drink 7 blended mice and so, today, I am taking a stand.
 
that guy is a piece of shit and should not beat his daughter obviously, but does it not seem weird to anyone that she would want to absolutely destroy his career and life by doing this? i mean obviously she would hate him for it, but he probably is the one supporting her and it's her own dad! i would probably just move out or something.

ok but that was seriously fucked up. I don't understand how she could just sit there and weep instead of fighting back for herself though. I know I would hit my dad back long before it got to the point where I was lying on the ground, crying, getting beat for the 100th time with a belt.

but i guess girls will be girls.

spanking your daughter for disciplinary reasons is one thing, but beating the absolute shit out of her with a belt, is something completely different, this guy is a worthless piece of shit.
 
How the hell do you do anything other than wait til it's over when someone's straight up beating the shit out of you with a belt? Especially when you're half the guy's size, like she was.

I'm not against parental discipline, and I know there are plenty of parents who are far more strict than mine were, but that's just abuse. What did she learn from that situation, other than the fact that her dad can't control his temper and she should be scared of him? That isn't fucking parenting. And from what it sounds like, she had to deal with that for a long time.

Come on dude, my sister has down-syndrome and NEVER EVER WOULD I lay a hand on her for DOWNLOADING music on the internet, actually i'd be proud of her for figuring out how to steal music and high five her. COME ON. This shit is disgusting. I'd beat the living shit out of my dad if I would be to hear him beat up my sister like that. I don't care whatever she has done, NEVER EVER LAY A HAND on a lady, not even with a rose. That fucking sick bastard should get his balls cut with a butter knife only because it's gonna be way more painful and grueling.
 
um fuck discipline, he used a weapon to beat her, and a weapon this so called submissive abused mother was also holding. i'm fucking disgusting. abused or not, if she puts up with it, she's an accomplice.
 
there's a lot of area between disciplining your kids (which, if you have half a brain, you should be able to do without hurting them at all), and hitting a 16 year old girl for 5 minutes with a belt for downloading a computer game. fucking hillbillies

She anticipated a beating, and then set up a video camera. She was beat for years - why does anticipating it seem far fetched to you?
 
are you joking? she had 2 options, expose what he's doing or keep getting beaten for the next two years.

look, i know you new hampshire folk take pride in being 100 years behind the rest of the world, and stupid, but the dude's obviously not a good arbitrator of justice if the way he reacts to something as ubiquitous as downloading a game that you can't buy is to freak out and hit a girl with a belt for 5 minutes

anyway, like i said, not all disciplining of kids is necessarily evil, and it obviously used to happen way more, but if you can't think of a better way to do it than this then you dont have the required brain power to be a parent (and/or were hit as a kid and are just perpetuating shitty parenting)

Clearly the man cannot control his temper, and gets off on having the upper hand. I would absolutely say he is not fit to be a parent, as he has no compassion for his child.

And whoever said that she should stand up for herself, this is her action to standing up for herself. Take note. Something like this is not an easy task, and takes a lot of courage.

And to Jenifa who says she is an accomplice...were you beaten as a child? Do you know what its like to be in that position? I do. Its not easy to fight back and take a stand for yourself. I wasn't ever severely beaten like that, but I had my fair share of spankings. And I would not call myself an accomplice. That is not fair.
