Jon's new dubs!!!!!

if this is for real, im convinced... nothing is impossible in the progression of skiing... its gotten to the point of cheating death to be on top...

but you didn't shred pow at brighton..... you should have come with us today. or some day

if he puts these together in a run....

wahts the money that candide learns double flips now? ill bet he already has something ridiculous in his bag to bring out at the candide invite.

i cant realy beleive it until i see it...but it wouldnt surprise me seeing it is JON we are talking here.

haha if it was simon or mike wilson i'd be a little more sketch about this new trick... but jon is so stylish i could see him doing leading blunt with the d spin and then japan with the flat. That would be so sick. cant wait to see it

OK, I'm not saying that Jon's tricks are in anyway close to the same style that aerials are, but....

Aerialists have been doing things like tripleflips with 5 and even 6 spins, quadflips with 4 spins, etc. for quite a while now.

So when a freeskier performs a double flat or flip with 2 or 3 or 4 spins.....yes, it is really awesome, and for all of us it looks a million times cooler than aerials.

HOWEVER, just because he does it with a style that we all prefer, does not mean that he is doing something that is way more risky and life-threatening than what aerialists have done for years.

I think that if anything, the current state of freeskiers venturing into the doubles realm should foster more of an appreciation of how difficult and crazy aerials is. Regardless of whether or not you like the style of it, you have to admit that performing a triple back with a 2160 in it is some pretty insane shit.

It's already been filled in enough to get it open to the public. Joneseys had some waist deep powder in there this morning... good for a few runs but the trees were better for the rest of the day

Man, pretty soon a while a way from now (well I hope so..) they (the pros) are going to be doing triples and the "non- professional" people are gonna be doing doubles.
