Jiberish is starting to fade?

that sucks for you and I know you paid a shit ton but it still looks pretty sick and I doubt many will actually notice unless it gets real bad

Talked to pete today, and he said hes only gotten 2 or 3 of the emails of this hoodie fading and has already contacted the manufacturer, and is getting it all sorted out. He's real chill and really trying hard to fix the manufacturers error.

I don't know how much more highly I can speak of Jiberish, but Pete really went to great extents to help me. Called me back and said he wanted to talk to me personally so I wouldn't be told to contact this person, then this person and he really apologized about the situation. I am glad that when I am paying that much extra, I am getting superior customer serivice. The hoodie is being sent back to him tomorrow and when it gets there, we will see what we can do. Pete seems to be doing everything correctly to run a high quality business, unfortunately he still looses money each season. Go out and support him and his great brand NS. Pete and Jiberish are amazing attributes to skiing.

this year they didn't put on the tag where they are made, does anyone know where they were made this year?

Yeah they did. It's kind of down on the inside of your hoodie with the wash instructions. They were made in China.

so jungle cat should be fine? I have one in the dark grey/black...you think it will be aight to wash?

my bird is the word had a small niche in a cuff when I received it and it eventually turned into a huge whole, so I emailed Pete and sent it out for an exchange, and today I received a phone call from him apologizing and thanking me for the business. This is truly an outstanding customer relations company and I encourage everyone to do business with them

it seems to me that jiberish uses 2 different kinds of inks. they use a thick hi quality one for more detailed designs like on the banger and last year the oh word. They also have that thin one that they use just to fill space with color like on ur aristocrat and last years level 1 crew. The second seems to not hold up as well.

I have a somewhat related story that i'll post here for the sake of not posting another jiberish thread. I washed my 10-year crew last night, followed all of the instructions on the tag. when i went to take it out of the washer to hang i noticed that all of the felt patches were covered in tiny red pills. not happy to say the least, but i think i will be able to get most of them off

same thing is happening to me now. there was a pull in the wrist fabric and now it is a small whole. if i dont do anything it will get a lot bigger. kinda pissed, i might try to sow it or something. i dont wanna send back the hoodie just because there is a small whole in the wrist. if it gets bigger i might e mail pete

alright so the pills are everywhere, and i dont think i can get them off. is this worth emailing pete about?

Could be DTG but doubt it. Most of the big boys run a Kornit for DTG. What I see is typical of dark soft hand inks on light garments. It'll look faded after washing mostly due to a printing phenomenon called Fibrillation. Where some of the pigment washes off and the small unprinted fibers show through the dark ink. Resulting in a grayish linty appearance. This is either because the ink was undercured or reduced to the point where it wouldn't cure. They probably printed/dyed a huge roll of this fabric, then cut it. Looks like a curing issue to me. There are ways around this, but i won't go into detail.

To the OP, this is why yours looks so different than your brothers. His was all black to begin with, yours was dyed/printed on an already white garment. This would've happened over time even if you didn't wash it.

This thread made my day. Happy about your stupid expensive jiberish now? I'll stick with my incredibly sick SMS hooded sweatshirt which I only paid a whopping $40 for. Compliments alllll day.

i had the armada trippy hoody from getboars last year and it fadded wayyyy bad and getboards gave me a full refund...so i got a verde crew. hope it dont fade but im glad i got it from getboards cuz there a super leget retail shop

as much as i love jiberish, i almost regret buying their shit this year. My hatchman blue already has a whole in the sleeve and i have only worn it twice to school. as good as their customer service is and as sick as their designs are, every year there is something wrong with their products. pretty disapointed after all the cash i dropped on hoodies this year

I love Jiberish for what they do for skiing and I like to support small brands like these guys

but im not impressed at all with their stuff this year, i mean $90 hoodies that fade and lose their stitching? its really too bad because I want them to do well but when you tell customers that they are paying a premium price because they are getting a product thats high quality and costs a lot to make and then having it get messed up so quickly is just weak

no hate on Jiberish I know these guys work really hard just my two cents

Oh really?

JIBERISH IS THE BEST! Pete called me today and he was the nicest dude ever! Supreme customer service, he personally apologized and hes letting me send my aristocrat back and get jungle cat, all i have to do is pay the difference. SO GLAD I AM PAYING FOR JIBERISH! Not only because its so damn sick, but because the people behind it are amazing and also love what they do.
