J. Lindeberg

When Jon first signed with J.Lindeberg, I was one of the people who hated (on)it the most. However, during the year I for various reasons changed my mind, and accepted JL because they make pretty sick clothes (At least in the Future Sports collection) and when I recently got the chance to buy some with a 15% discount, I bought myself a setup (pants and jacket, both size L) in white.

I obviously haven't used it on the hill yet, but the stuff seems to be really good quality and it looks great.

Just letting you know that it isn't all tight neon pinks, but whatever floats your boat!

The reason i hate lindeberg is because EVERYONE in norway has a JL sweater. So I was hating on JL pretty much before the entered the ski scene. They sponsor newschool events, and make a different kind of ski clothes, so i pretty much like them..Its most of the people who wear it i hate, but jon is my hero.

i havent seen much of their outerwerar exept the puffy ones (pink, turquise) jon is rocking and those tight neongreen pants. post some pics of your clothing.

I will, they're the same pants, but baggy, and a shell jacket that's fairly big, too. For comfort, that is.

Well it depends how you wear it... My getup is white and slightly bigger than what Jon wears. I don't really care what people think though, I really like the stuff, and I get a good deal.

I wear quite a bit of J.Lindeberg, ive got a belt, a couple tees and two sweaters. its super rad cause its pretty new here and no one has it. i like how they've introduced a new preppy type style into skiing, which is cool wehter you like the style or not, if not for the look but just as appreciation for somthing new.

i like it, the design is simple, not with a hole bunch of crazy shit goin on it like the burton stuff, where they just have a messed up patern, or oakley's plaid camo. I would probably not get pink or neon green, but white would be nice i think, Is there anywhere i look at prices on the internet?

Why is it that everyone has to hate on what others are wearing, what has newschool skiing become, mean girls?? I personally think that the JL stuff is sick just because its totally different than all the "gangster" clothing brands. This is ski clothing that actually fits, and jon knows how to wear it. I just dont get how the moment you say you like something different youre automatically considered a fag. Let people wear what they want and ski for fun, not for looks. gosh!

I never really like the powder blue or pink, but the other stuff he wore last year was "ok". But the stuff he wore at his open was off the hook. it wasn't tight at all, and look really good.

Yup... I think the reason they used those really bright pink and blue suits the first year was to bring attention to the company...

are u a f***ing retard???!!!

Do I have a JL sweater???!?!?!

HELL NO!!!

I'm from norway and I hate that fucking gay sweater!!

i like the clothes they make ... and ski shit too, i mean i like baggy ski stuff but i dont walk around in bandanas and jerseys

post a pic of the suit

man the snowsuits must be soo expensive, a JL belt is 160CAD, t-shirts are 70, i couldnt imagine the price of an entire snowsuit, although they do have really nice stuff.

I think it's interesting to look at the American response, at least gauging off these forums, to lindeberg.

Price has been a big concern, since belts range from 160 and up, it's a bit of a shock compared to other ski/board brands. Entirely this is because no action sport, as far as my knowledge is concerned, has been entered strongly by an actual fashion house. One does not see Dior Homme (Though there is a good difference between Dior and Lindeberg)sponsored boarders etc. It becomes hard for the American consumer to accept $1000 snow suits in the same marketplace as $500 Burton pieces. The problem is that Lindeberg is selling, at least on this site, to a primarily teen market. The majority of these teens having no real knowledge of the quality and construction difference between a Lindeberg and a china-made Burton jacket. It is not a company coming from an action sports background and the clothing quality associated with it, it is a fashion house that has real runway shows.

As to the "gay" comments, It's a cultural thing. Many westerners, American teens as a major group, don't have the view on fashion that Europeans do. Many Europeans care more about how they look than Westerners. This also allows them to appreciate and understand the prices of Lindeberg alot more. If these Euro "gays" are in North America they might be labeled as such, but in Europe it is simply a normal style of dress.

To offer a sort of conclusion, I would not be surprised to see Lindeberg selling more in Europe (in regards to the pieces more expensive than the belts and shirts) due to the overall opinion on fashion there - and aided by somewhat lower prices on the product. In America, Lindeberg would have a hard time entering the teen market, though they already do with Jon. Not many ski stores sell it (if not any), and one sure as hell won't find "newschoolers" shopping in Holt Renfrew anytime soon.

You are a systemic anomoly. Props for being so.

ilikepowder - not to demean you, but childish comments like yours keep me from contributing to this site. Being close-minded does not contribute anything. Even if your opinion is against the OP's and mine, it would be beneficial to explain the grounds for your reasoning.

I'm not sure if you can get the ski gear in North America yet. But if you're in canada the best bet would be at Holt Renfrew. In the US, Blooingdales or other upper-end stores. One poster said NYC had a store, so maybe the US has a small chain of them.
