I'm not sure I'd call it a BC ski. Armada calls it an All Mountain pow, which i think means its great all mountain and when there's pow, you can have some fun on it too. That being said, I agree that I used to think BC skis were supposed to be stiffer than regular skis. But I did a comparison of the ARV and the ar5, and the ARV was DEFINTELY softer. I would say that ARV is lots of fun all mountain, but it has some issues on ice or at high speeds. it's fine on cord unless and really fun in pow. as for swing way, I spin way better on my ARVs that on my PEs. Might be because they are 5 cm shorter than my PEs, but still i think the ARV is lighter.
