and is twitter/instagram rising? Facebook is mostly a cesspool now but I still use it because most of my friends aren't twitterers anyway. Instagram is great, too.

Yes, too mainstream... It can only get so big before it deflates..

The problem with facebook is that people are too worried about what their facebook looks like to view anybody else's (cleavage and bikinis are the exception for everything)
 
exactly. im friends with my mom and grandparents on facebook and would hope they dont get on twitter or instagram as my posts are very different on that from facebook
 
My facebook feed is 50% old people, which is funny because they make up maybe 2% of my friends.

Id say its dying, but its definitely still the best way to get in touch with someone
 
how about all those fuck trophy pictures? nobody gives a fuck about anybodies kids, especially 83 pictures of their first halloween, that is just creepy
 
Dying as in teens using it? Yes. But it is still used by many people that only have a facebook for social media.
 
Facebook dying? I guess, I got rid of mine because I just see garbage on my newsfeed 24/7.

twitter is just like updating your facebook status, i don't see why it's useful. i made one when it was all the hype around 08 i think, i've tweeted like 20 tweets then i never used it anymore. it's all about instagram. facebook the company owns instagram so i guess you can say the company's not going away; but facebook the site is definitely getting stale
 
I use Facebook to get in touch with people I can't get in touch with at the time or in person and to get the latest on contests and ski company stuff. Also to post my videos and what not. My newsfeed is still pretty much the same as it was a couple years ago with status' and stuff because I deleted all the spammers and shitty people.

I still check Facebook occasionally but rarely ever post anything.. I use instagram the most by far! I'm thinking about getting a Twitter but I doubt that I'd ever use it
 
....isn't it extremely obvious? Were all so fucking preoccupied with what's on facebook and forget what's actually important
 
The only people who post on facebook are the annoying little shits who live their life on the internet and think internet humor is the funniest thing. Its terrible, my news feed is covered in 9gag and funnyjunk shit kids share. I only go on to chat with people and watch ski videos.
 
i feel like its moving more towards twitter / instagram because FB use to be just kids and their friends, but now every mom dad and grandma are on there creepin it up.
 
parts of facebook have already died...apps and games seem to be gone. I think it will be around for a while but Zuckerberg is going to have to work hard to keep it alive for the distant future.
 
facebooks been dead for a year in my area, twitter/ instagram is whats up now. kinda stupid cause you can do everything and more on facebook that you can do on twitter and instagram

I sort of started using Instragram the way I used to use Facebook. I don't see them dying anytime soon though. They're a login platform for a whole bunch of sites.
 
I use Facebook because many of my friends are in different countries or far away a lot of times, so I like to be able to message them and share pictures and shit.
 
Plus a lot of businesses rely on it for networking to clientele or whatever.(that and LinkedIn which is just business FB)
 
Facebooks still going strong with everyone I have added. Its still constant streams of people whining that they missed the bus, or going 'ooo look at my new jumper' but it's essential for me to keep up with friends from my ski seasons that live all over the place.

I use tumblr a whole lot more though
 
I rarely check the news feed anymore, I just log on and see if I have any notifications because being in high school, all that other people post is bitching and stupid quotes about love (mostly girls)
