For Patrolling in the states, i believe you have to pass an OEC (outdoor emergency care) class for your patrol to consider you.. thats what i had to do, and then i was a canidate all last year. During the course of the season they test you on toboggan, assessments, etc, and then you can become a patroller.. the oec class is demanding.. like 80 hours.. glad thats over with.. but patrol is a lot of fun at my hill.
