I did that last year on a mini-ish jump. tried twice, both times got around but was landing very forward so third time decided to really huck it and stomp the shit out of it. me being 6'3 didn't help any. Blacked out when my head hit the lip and came to on the ground with a broken collar bone that had to get surgery/metal plate put in. quick season ender right there
This kid is right though, Im not saying you necessarily suck, I have never seen you ski but I see a lot of kids who spend hundreds of dollars on jiberish, lrg, saga, all the good clothes companies that cant even do a switchup on a rail..
I tried a few backies on a jump that was 3.5ft tall, with about a 10ft gap, and you would get like 5ft of air. I would lay it out, spot the landing, and then as soon as I saw it I would land right on my face/head. This happened on almost all my attempts. Any tips?
Try a wackflip/ almost flat 3 first if thats your main concern. Both of these tricks are similar to a backflip, and you can use them to work towards a 'straight' backflip.
they are super easy. just don't be 6'3 tryna huck one on a super mini ice jump unless you're spriggs or something. I think they're on par with 3's in difficulty. just make sure you're going to be doing it on a decent setup.
