Does anyone else get pissed when people say that? I'm 16 so I'm just at the age where people are starting to get their licenses, and people say that with a straight face all the time... Like really? I live in a town where traffic is very minimal, and highway driving is the easiest shit ever, so I don't understand what people are basing their driving abilities off of... I mean, you can definitely be a shitty driver, but as long as you're a competent driver, there really isn't much room to be "better" than someone else... And often, people who say they're great drivers fucking blow dick. So what gives?
 
I agree although no one really says it to me but i hate when people freak out cuz a girl is driving. They criticize every thing even when its not that bad
 
I live and drive in boston, of course I'm a better driver than you! Actually I rank myself as being moderately good at driving. But believe me, after a few years of driving you start to notice that some people are just terrible at it.
 
There are definitely plenty of idiots on the road, I can't count the number of times I've had to avoid wrecks because people are shitty drivers.

I got my licence 3 weeks ago, and last Saturday I flipped my mom's car into a ditch totalling it, I was only going 30km/h too... the road was glare ice, when the cops showed up he slid and almost ended up in the ditch too. But next thing I know some kid comes up to me in school and says "Man, you must suck at driving, If that was me I would have never slid off the road and would have drifted and shit.".

I didn't take it as much because of some of the other things he says, such as:

"I saw a BMW m3 with like paddle-shifters so the guy must have swapped a Ferrari engine in"

"My dad was driving his friends Ferrari that had a Lamborghini engine swap"

"Dude, I was drifting my friends Honda civic this weekend. he has like a Masserati engine swap in it"

I agree with anyone who says that to me, but I don't let them forget that on a road bike, I'd smoke 'em.

Maybe I'll get my license one day, whenever my legs fall off...
 
there are so many asshole drivers here in denver, they like to cut in front of you all the time. i was ready to kill a bitch who did it to me yesterday.

anywho, you cant call yourself a good drive until you drive a mountain in the snow. i mean a real mountain to.

i consider myself to be an ok driver, but i also agree that i hate people who claim they are great drivers.

i also hate people who brag about driving all the time, like big deal you just got your permit, cool man.

i feel this way since i ahve been driving since i was like 14, on farms and shit, so it really isnt that big of deal to me.
 
I hate it when people judge me for getting into an accident, when i made it through a horrible winter with completely bald tires without any injuries to me or my car.
 
protip: don't get into accidents, don't speed and get caught, and drive defensively 90% of the time. I'm a fantastic driver because i do all those things.

There's a girl at my school that always says this, just because she drives manual and I don't.

Bitch, I'd like to see you keep up with me driving through NYC...I tear that shit up.

i also dont signal when i doesnt effect anybody and run red lights and do rolling stops

there is no medium in boston. People are either fantastic drivers, or the absolute worst. Its always fun driving in the city with people who aren't used to it. You can spot someone who doesn't live or work in boston from a mile away.

and soulskier, that was probably the best answer possible for such a ridiculous declaration.
 
Got my car from my brother, so I had no say in it. :/

When I upgrade to my Subaru I'm going manual, though.
 
haha im guessing youre in highschool? one of my friends got his liscence like a month ago and he always says people suck at driving and he is wayyyyyy better but ive rode with him and he drives safe but sucks at the actual driving part, he is always slaming on the brakes,almost rolling the jeep.
 
I fucking hate backing up trailers. Had to do it at work over the summer and even though I knew in theory which way to turn I would always do the opposite.
 
who cares how fast you were going you probably fucking suck at driving if you were that ignorant to the ice on the road if it was that bad. On ice you have 0 traction. I could imagine you actually are a pretty awful driver since you just got your licens and crashed your moms car
 
sorry for the double post.....bro for real. Dont go out of your way to get a manual. Completely over rated for every day driving. Honestly just a brutal pain in the ass for every day driving. Its not like your driving a corvette or ferrari
 
i agree, i love driving manuals on a nice drive threw the mountains, but i would hate to have to drive one to work everyday, and sometimes i have to drive one for work which just sucks.

however at school it seems most people think you are the shit if you drive a manual.
 
Black ice...

My friend crashed his cooper going 20 km/h into rocks. Cracked wheel well, broken from bumper, and a few other things. He had all seasons on which do jack shit when it snows here. Black ice is a bitch.
 
you probably were one of those ignorant fucks that thinks they are immune to everything on the road when they first get their licences.
