It is a free car, but if you said any other comparable SUV I would have been just as happy for you. Escalades do have a bigger engine. Its got a lot of nuts for something made entirely of plastic. Get into a Tahoe, look at all the buttons, compare to the excalade. Damn near the same thing, you pay for a plusher interior, the big name, and the look (which really isn't all that impressive). For what its worth some simple aftermarket modifications to another GM SUV will get the same damn thing but not as flashy.

I guess the bottom line is be happy cause your getting a free car, not because its an escalade.
 
word and if you still need to have that look get a front end conversion kit for it for like $1,500 and bolt it on

theres a difference between buying your kid a crappy used car just so they can get around and spoiling them with an escalade that says, "hey look at me im a spoiled deuchbag". It perpetuates a materialistic society and you will not teach your kid the value of a dollar. All way more important than an escalade, which is a shitty car to begin with anyways.
 
if you have the money to buy your child an escalade, then the value of a dollar means nothing to you or your kids.
