Ideas for a casual date?

so there's a girl who might be interested in myself. and i can tell you that i am interested in her.

so we're hanging out when i get back in town. and when i asked if she had any place she would like to go or anything she would prefer to do, she just replied, surprises are good :)

so i have to come up with something. and i am also stuck deciding on how date ish this day is going to be.

so what are some casual things to do for a casual date and not make it super date like.

park, walking around or picnic

flea/farmers market

art museum or something

beach, even tho there's not much to do at the beach

some sort of concert at a park

any suggestions would help.

this would be in LA area
 
concert is ideal. but make sure she likes that kind of music, if she dosent it wont be a good night. then go tolike some kind of drunk food place like are you hungry, get it to go. brake the LAW and go to the park at night and eat and talk.
 
dinner out on the patio somewhere followed by a walk through town. always a pleasant time, and gives you a chance to just hang out, uninterrupted, and see where it goes. do the fun shit later. let her get to know you first.
 
yea and thats what i want it be. us to be able to talk, laugh, and get to know each other.

but i kinda want to do something a little extra. like kites or minigolf or something interesting. just so its not that cliche date. idk.

 
I usually try to do something really exhilarating like zipline or slingshot whenever the Stampede is in Calgary. Bitches love the slingshot! Especially this one.

I'd be stoked if a guy too me to have picnic in a nice park and we flew kites.

Or be double dorky and try making your own kites like you did in class in kindergarten
 
i've decided on a date. it will hopefully go as follows.

go to her place. see the new place cuz she just moved in.

drive to pre planned park.

put together/fly kites.. she doesnt know about yet. i texted her, "power rangers or T rex" she picked power rangers. so she will get the kite with power rangers on it.

i will also have drinks there(non alcoholic). most likely arizona ice teas. cuz they're awesome.

then, we will go out to eat. i told her she has to decide where we're eating.

then a walk down town, along the strip or out door mall touristy are. maybe beach area.

and maybe making these at her place in the evening.

I have a fun option for you: ask her to meet you at a very specific, but completely weird place, e.g. 4.56PM behind the bus stop of Line 76. Then if the weather is good, plan for you to take the bus for like a few stops to get to the actual place, like a park picnic,nice cafe w/e. Always make sure that there's a nice pub/lounge nearby so you can continue it along with drinks if it goes well. Then play it smooth and you'll be massaging her breasts no later than 2AM.
 
this... worked so well for me when i started to casually date one of my good friends... best of all. i made sure we tied in the end. cuz i just good at mini golf like that/ claim
 
I approve of your idea. But a lot of times girls don't like making ANY decisions on a date, so if you really wanna have her pick dinner, it'd be safe to have a back up option that you've thought of.
 
Depends on how well you know this girl. I like to keep things as stress free and low key as possible. I know guys that like to go all out and plan extravagant stuff but honestly I think they will appreciate something that allows them to feel more comfortable.

If I am meeting a chewy whom I've only met online, IE facebook, dating website, I like to take them for a beer/coffee. If it's someone I know a little better I'll use stuff that we've talked about in the past to come up with an idea.

But who knows. I'm no woman guru.
 
Hike. Preferably at sunset so you can watch the sun go down then lead her down the mountain hand in hand like a real man when it's dark.

Nobody mentioned the ZOO?!?! It is hands down the best place ever to take a girl.... Not only do you look like you've listened to her, because most girls like animals, but it provides the perfect cover in case you run out of chat: "Ohhhh, Flamingo's are pretty!" etc.

Do something active together so that you don't get the awkward moments when no one talks. Go hiking, disc golfing, go to the creek, or climbing. Get something to eat along the way. Should be easy.

this is a really good idea. even if she doesn't like baseball, she probably like drinking, and if she doesn't like that, she still likes you. its an enjoyable experience, and more memorable then say a movie or something generic.
 
Pack sick lunch

go kayaking

eat lunch at beach you kayak to

kayak more

bike ride

stop at restaurant and eat

watch office space

walk her home

I did this last weekend and I think it went well, she is really fair skinned and got sunburnt though. She agreed to another date anyways.
 
take her to the bar get her so drunk she can barely walk take her home (Well most likely carry her) have sex with her (she most likely wont remember or even notice) and shell love you or hate you. Seems to work for most the Frat boys at FSU so it should work for you.
 
That sounds like an amazing date. Props to you for planning it out not going for the generic coffee/ beer or movies.

mental note for next time... bring sun screen. ha.

i thought about the zoo. but the zoo's out here are a little spendy. so i figured doing something cheaper would be a better option for the first date.
