Ideas for a casual date?

While some of these date ideas sound cool, what's wrong with just, you know, sitting down somewhere and talking, getting to know each other? Why sidewind it with kites, kayaking or something else? That could come afterwards on another date.
 
Man, I hate being broke in a world where most girls require fancy dates. If only I could meet a girl on NS, who would just chill at my house and sit with me on NS all night. Haha. But Props to being a proper gentleman.
 
I personally think that going all out on creativity on a first date is a waste of time and money, unless you actually know her from before somehow. If you start off being spectacular all the time and show her "Yes, this is what I'm ready to do for your sake because I like you" then by the time when the relationship (possibly) begins stagnating and you won't go over your head for her sake for every single thing, you're just gonna run into the "You're not the same guy I met/You don't care about me that much anymore" Wall.
 
yea. but going out for just coffee or something plain is kinda boring. so you mise well do something fun while you're at it.

also. as for this instance. we already know each other a fair amount. just have never gone on an actual date before.
