Ian Compton joins Nordica

Its really fucked up that sponsors dont pay that much at all to thier riders. I mean skiing is getting rather popular these days, which eans more money.

I can understand why small companys cant pay alot for the riders but big name companys are most likily getting the most income. All the kids watching xgames see tammy walnutz and henrik harlooo which means they want that pair of skis/jacket.

anyways im drunk blabbering and lost my train of thought hahah

line was fine losing compton. Wilson is a better fit for their image going forward anyways. nordica will grow tired of his antics and he'll be on to the next thing NSrs like

from what i know line is one of the worst companies to ride for (unless youre pollard i guess idk his situation) so good for ian compton

Funny. Nearly all of Lines North American skiers have been on Line for 5+ years. Why would so many skiers stay with one of the worst companies to ride for???

i shouldve said "from what ive heard," always second and third hand info, ive never ridden for line (or anyone). but ive just heard that they don't pay well at all etc etc

but i mean, besides pollard (who was literally the only person they kept on their team when they cleaned house after the pivogy debacle and im sure theyve treated well), what big names have been with them for so long? lj strenio.. no idea why he's still with them.. will wesson, same, i seriously dont know besides that he's a very "line" type of guy. after that do they even have any other people for long that are full on pros?

not trying to argue, as i said i can only go on what i hear on the mtn, but ive just never heard anything super positive about it. plus im biased cause i dont really see why theyre so popular

Jeff Curry has skied for Line for over 10 years. You're replying to someone who's been on Lines for 8 years. Traveling Circus just finished their fifth season, and Will and Andy both skied for Line before that started. Will has skied for Line for over 10 years. Obviously they're doing something right.

who'd i reply to? my best guess is erik olsen? anyway, yeah they've had a lot of people with them for a while but it's mostly ams, not PRO!s who will be comparing contracts between companies etc (don't get me wrong, all of those dudes are super sick but it's just not the same situation). line seems to be more on the am game anyway ever since they dropped their whole team but pollard and started to focus on more am and flow stuff

once again, not looking to piss anyone off here, im just saying ive never heard great things as compared to other companies. but you can't always trust what you hear
