I was wondering if anyone would sponsor me?

Not with that attitude my lil friend. And if you have such a future, why arnt you competing?

Along with this question, I wonder why you would come to a Social Forum board and post for sponsors?

Why not email diff companies with your video, such as local shops and what not?

if you had a future in this sport you would already be sponosred and not looking for them on a forum website. you should be competing in events like free flow or the aspen open and i highly doubt you can compare to the skill those kids have they are amazing, trust me my team competed at the one at boulder laster year people came out from everywhere to compete. i never saw a 13 year old kid throw a dub before that day.

/static/images/flash_video_placeholder.png this is my promo. its not me, but hopefully the sponsers wll like the enthusiasm

yo cole you on facebook? if you are go to Outdoor Technology's page and ask them. they are a really sick company and are good about sponsoring up and coming skiers and snowboarders

Dude, you gotta get your basic skiing skills together, I bet you don't practice skiing techniques too much? It makes your tricks look so much better if the skiing amidst runs looks good. And it's also easier to get good in park skiing that way.

while people should stop being an asshole to this kid, i think he should know that this isnt how it works and you need to be very talented to be sponsored. I know your brand new to NS, so go look around at other members and their videos and realize that there is a lot of talent out there and your gonnna need to be alot better to be sponsored. sorry but thats just unrealistic. Torin-Yater wallace is only like a year older than you and look what it takes to get get sponsored

What NS is fed up with is having kids continuously begging for sponsorships and saying that they deserve one. That's what NS hates. If you came on and asked for an honest opinion asking what the community thinks of your skiing and asked for help with getting sponsored, the reaction would have been different. Instead, you said " I will take almost anything i.e. clothing, skis, drinks.etc.", rather than ask what some possibilities for sponsors could be. You came off sounding like you'll take anyone wanting to sponsor you, which also upsets NS because you showed no proof and came off cocky. Yes, no one knows "your skills" or your "capabilities", but know one cares if you come off as an arrogant kid.

With that said, here are a few tips about sponsorships:

1. Don't out right think you can get sponsored. There are hundreds of kids that could out ski you right now. But what companies look for is someone to represent their company, not show it off. They want someone to be a good model for the company.

2. If you want a sponsorship, you need to pursue one, not ask for one. Do research and start small. Find a small company which you can represent and have a chance to have. In an example, I found a small apparel company called Akinz Boardwear that is based out of Fort Collins, Colorado and talked to them about a sponsorship since they were looking to "advertise" in my home town. I didn't ask however. I proved to them that I could be an excellent representative by videos, competition results, and overall influence in town. I got sponsored that fall. The company has grown quite significantly and actually has Ashley Battersby on the team (claim). http://akinz.com/team as proof. Who knows though, getting in with a small company may be great if it starts to blow up.

3. If you don't get sponsored, don't take it as you suck. Some companies want a specific type of person or style to represent their company. Keep skiing and having fun. Overtime, someone will take notice. Just keep doing your thing.

My 2 cents /rant.

this. get the fuck off your high horse you mediocre parkrat. people would help you more if you were not being so damn cocky. /rant

I'll sponsor you.

All I have to offer you though is $0.57, 2 stamps, a bus token, and a trading card. Hope we can work out a deal sometime.

i dont want to hate, but you coulda posted a video or some pictures with this. just to get these kids off your back from the get go.

good luck!

I was compelled by the music and the skiiing to get up and dance. Couldn't help myself. RIIIIDE RIIIIIDE RIIIDE LET IT RIDE!

Sorry bro, not to be a downer, but I know people who are WAY better than you are, and are unsponsored.

Like I give a shit? I'm willing to bet that you can't double flip, or even know how to actually ski. You seem nothing more than a mediocre 14 year old park rat. K-fed'ing a flat box won't get you sponsored.

You are not listening to the few serious posts in this thread. You have not shown you have anything to offer any company whatsoever.

hey cole im not here to be a dick but i am going to give you some advice:

your still pretty young man dont rush stuff to much just concentrate on haveing fun, learning tricks and cleaning up your style. also start to enter some local competitions anything to get your name out there a little bit more like meetin some people in the park and just giving out an all around good vibe. if your dedicated enough to doing what you do and make a good image for yourself i dont see why not you could merit some sort of sponsorship in the future.

keep up the shred!

Also.....my threads

Cocky much? People watched your video. And more than likely, your going to put your best tricks in the video. Regardless of if we've seen you ski in person or not, your actuall skiing (not park) was pretty terrible, and you had no style, and your tricks were ALRIGHT

and you said you cant double. double flips is where the sport is at right now, you pretty much need to be able to throw a dub to compete on the pro level, just watch slope at winter X. i bet everyone will be throwing doubles.
