I think it may be true that racers are actually true douche bags

most of the kids in the high school league i raced in used racing as an excuse to go skiing on weekdays . no racing happened. our coach and the few d bag racers weren't to happy.
 
i teach lessons and 97% of my co workers are either race brats or wanna be race brats, my boss included. sometimes i can handle their naivety but sometimes its just fucking stupid, asking me why my goggles are under my helmet (when i dont have a goggle strap on it and they look fucking stupid in their helmet), being surprised when i carve saying "oh i didnt know you could turn with those" and saying shit like "you should try skiing on real skis, you'd probably like it better"

not all race kids sucks but a majority do.

oh and sorry about the baggy clothes, goggles under the helmet, skiing backwards, facemask, shorter poles, lack of poles, and the occasional skinny pants. i know it looks stupid to you, but to the rest of the world, so does your stupid race helmets, shin guards, bright ass skin tight gs suits, your long ass poles, your stiff ass boots that make you lean forward like retards, how you need 8 pairs of skis for one day of skiing, and your robotic ass style.

Way to generalize a community of possibly millions of freeskiers just because you got all asspained because some kids chirped at your team. Boo fucking hoo. Cry me a river and build a bridge over it so you can get to the forest of Go fuck yourself.
 
i didn't say anything about skiing backwards and poles and stuff ..? obviously thats your equipment that you use (unlike your baggy clothes that could just as well be normal sized) just like we use our equipment. and i don't use 8 pairs of skis a day. I have 1 pair of skis.
 
well i'm one racer out of possibly millions and everyone's assuming that all racers are rude and cocky just because i chirped them once. i don't actually hate freestyle skiers, i never said that.
 
You clearly arnt a racer if you have 1 pair of skis. You need at least 2. Also what the fuck are you doing on newschoolers because you clearly hate freeskiing and last time i looked this is a freeskiing website
 
Well I raced from the age of 5 till I was 15 and I can say that not all of them are db like you said but some of them are.
 
yeah i have yet to meet a racer that wasn't a douchebag and i've been skiing for 17 years but i'm still holding out hope that one day we can build a ski racer who is capable of humility, and that eventually it will be affordable to create them and we can all one day know a racer that doesn't think they're better than everyone else.
 
You keep contradicting yourself and at some point in your near future you are going to learn being a stuck up little bitch isn't going to get you anywhere.

We get it, you race. Cool, as a general public we don't hate racers because they race, hell id even go to say quite a few of us started skiing by racing. The main thing we hate about racer is the majority of their douchebag attitudes. Granted I have met quite a few really chill amazing racer that can get around just about anything, but its always the rotten apple of the bunch that spoils it for everyone.

Its the same way for the sterotypes for everything, you see the park rats with their baggy clothes as something different and you don't understand or like that. I give you that, this style isn't for everyone as Gator commented with his good ol' "I'm only in my teens yet I act like I'm a 60 year old pow hound from Tahoe" type of attitude. We get it some people don't like it. But you can't generalize somebody based on what they wear or how they ski but solely based on how they act. As I said I've met quite a few legit racers, but I've also met my fair share of rich pretentious douchebags that think they're better then you because they dodge gates on ice. That might be their thing but my thing is dodging trees and skiing pow.

TL;DR(To long didn't read since your probably don't know what that means)Stop acting like a stuck up bitch to other people, and they will probably be nice to you.
 
Theoretically, freestyle skiers are better skiers than racers. If you compare pro freestylers and pro racers. Pro freestyle skiers most of which come from a racing background, know how to actually ski and ski well, and do it switch. On top of that they can shred park like theres no tomorrow. If they for some decided to become a racer then could probably be successful within a week. Pro racers on the other hand would take a couple years to become a successful freestyle skier.
 
Get over yourself dude. If you think you could pick up racing in a week and beat people who have been doing it their whole lives, well, then you're a fucking idiot.
 
LOL not at all. I started racing a year and a half ago now, because it actually sounded fun to race in college (and it is). I still suck at racing. None of the freestyle skiing you do is useful as a racer because the stance and even the way you turn is completely different. Neither are better, both have a completely different set of skills.

As far as this thread goes, the girl who posted that stuff needs to shut the fuck up and stop making us look bad. There's no reason for one group of skiers to hate on another, we're all out there having fun.

yeah its true that MOST racers are total Dbags... yeah they are the rich kids blah blah blah. But remember, skiing is not a cheap sport. Im not saying everybody who skis is wealthy, but you really cant ski without having some level of disposable income.

I used to race (only because my college paid for lodging, lift tickets, and transportation) and I have a lot of good friends who are racers. and ll i have to say is that most of them are not that big of dbags. Its the same story as snowboarding vs. skiing. theres always gonna be hate between groups no matter what
 
all the racers at the small ass moutian i go to think they own it they always cut me off and snake the lift line. When i try to have a nice conversation with them they are like fuck off. Then their precious little race course is on the trail to the park so i pass through the course and they flip a shit on me and their coach threatens to pull my pass and nobody was going down. but when they go into the park they just go on the box and push me out of the way. The racers where i go are doucers but that could be just because thats the main thing at the mountian
 
the funny thing is i dont chirp her team, i used to be on it and i have friends on it. shes just a huge liar.

ya idk about the beating the shit out of them part, but the fact that she said she could kick any park skier's ass in park just confuses me
