"I need fantasy football help" thread

Word, that's good for Gio owners for sure. But basically that trade would come down to Foster for Gio because he would never use Jackson with having Alf and Bell on the roster, and I don't like that. I'd rather have the proven back on a run first offense, but that's just my opinion. Gio could be moved into the starting role at some point this season and totally go off. I think there's less risk in Foster though.

I'd love to have Foster and Alf as my 2 main backs.

Valid points. This is where it comes down to opinion. I don't trust Foster this year. That offense doesn't inspire confidence. I have much confidence in my boy Gio

Donnie Avery, DeAndre Hopkins, Greg Jennings, or Santana Moss for my third WR? Hopkins is facing Seattle and Jennings is going up against Ike Taylor, both of which are matchups that I don't like. Avery is facing NYG which is a GREAT matchup, but I'm not sure I trust him. Santana Moss is pretty reliable and has been relatively consistent so far this season, but he doesn't have as much upside as Avery. For the record, my opponent has a bad bye week and will be starting Eli Manning and an injured Vernon Davis in place of Aaron Rodgers and James Jones. Even with Avery in the lineup, I'm still projected to win by a few points. Who should I start?

I'm playing Avery. Giants look awful, Smith loves underneath route runners like Avery. That's who I'm going with

Rg3 or Matt stafford? Rg3 has a better matchup but I like stafford in this pass happy offense. Also bowe or Holmes at wr2?

Go with Stafford. Raiders pass rush is underestimated and the only reason RG3 has such big numbers so far is because his team gets blown out and then throws for 250 and 3 TDs in the second half

Well the Eagles are going to have the ball a lot because that defense has no chance of stopping Peyton and Denver rush D ain't no lie so Vick is going to throw a lot. That happened last week and we all know what Vick did. Matty Ice is gonna get you 21 points pretty much every week. If you're feeling confident Vick won't blow like he did last week go with Vick, if not go with Matty Ice

Its hard for me because im a pats fan, so im kinda biased this week, but idk ill have to see how i feel later this week and go with the gut call, i feel like either way both are going to be a half way decent choice.

I have Torrey smith starting wr then either Holmes or bowe or Austin at wr 2. Right now I have smith an Holmes then Jason Snelling at flex. Should I start bowe an Holmes and boot Snelling? Or start smith bowe and keep Snelling? Or smith and Holmes with Snelling? I don't have any gaurenteed plays really this week.

Keep in mind New England's secondary has yet to play against a good quarterback yet this year, so that might give Matt Ryan a chance to catch them off guard.

Do you mean Tavon Austin or Miles Austin? If Tavon definitely start him. Miles Austin is facing a weak San Diego secondary, as is Bowe against the Giants so if you've got either of them i'd say they're both gonna get similar points to Snelling. Now that Holmes is near healthy he could be viable, although i would probably sit him another week before starting to make sure he puts up consistent numbers first. If it were me i would start Snelling, just because the chances are pretty good he's gonna get alot of red zone touches, and right now he's averaging 8 yards a carry or something like that. Running backs get more touchdown opportunities than receivers so I think its a safer option. Just my opinion, sorry that was so long.

even so the rams have no run game, so bradford is constantly passing the ball. Austin isn't exactly a "premiere" receiver so he doesn't attract alot of attention from the secondary, but still puts up decent numbers. Especially if you're in a PPR league since he's had 6 catches every game so far.

not a ppr league. espn standard scoring. 10 yrds=1 td=6

but i still like him, got great speed and bradford can chuck it.

I have Kaepernick and Vick. K-Dog hooked me up week one and shit weeks two & three. Vick RAKED in 33 week two. Any feedback besides the logical keep Kaepernick in for obvious wins and Vick in for the same?

Also i have Lamar Miller and CJ Spiller as my RB's, not many points unless they have a great week. Are recievers in flex not a terrible idea?

To the first question ya pretty much what I do unless you see the 9ers really turn it around. Both offenses can be pretty potent.

Who are you wrs?

Usually I'd say Kaep, but I really hate starting anyone besides RBs on Thursday nights, especially QBS. That shortened week really seems to put a damper on passing offenses.

I'm not big on Vick this week, but Denver currently ranks 30th in the NFL in pass defense, and he has potential to put up huge garbage time points so it's not a bad option. I'm starting Luck over him this week because he's playing Jax and that's just too good to pass up.

I also have Miller and Spiller as RBs, so I feel your pain there. Miller has a good match up this week, I just wish they'd use him more in the red zone. I would consider starting a WR over Spiller this week against the Raves.

I'd say do it. Rams defense blows and as bad as the 49ers have been playing i think they're gonna go out and just put down a bunch of points

I literally have the exact same dilemna, but I'm not as sold on Chandler as you are. He's got a rookie QB throwing him the ball against the Ravens, Whereas Andrew Luck is throwing to Fleener against the Jags. And C.J. Spiller is going to play, so he could potentially take a TD away from Chandler. I think Fleener is a pretty solid play this week, but Chandler definitely seems good as well. Any advice?

Also, in my other league, V-Davis tonight vs St. Louis, or Antonio Gates vs Dallas? I'm figuring Antonio given the Chargers' lack of a run game and lack of receiving options for Rivers. But Dallas is more formidable of a defense than St. Louis, and Vernon Davis is definitely better overall than Gates, but he's just coming back off an injury. Thoughts?

Rookie QB's seem to love using tight ends as a regular target so i would stick with chandler, plus jacksonville has done surprisingly well against the pass this year. That has to do with the fact that they always seem to be losing so their opponents just run the ball, which is something to take into consideration. If Indy gets out ahead early it'll be Trent Richardson for the rest of the game, not much passing.

I would say put gates in. Davis is coming off an injury and that always makes predicting how he'll perform tough, especially since he's still listed as questionable for this week. i think gates is the more reliable option since he's had 2 solid games in a row now.

i'd say chiefs. Eli's o-line can't stop a thing he'll be getting sacked all game just like last week. The Panthers only had 1 starter from their secondary who wasn't out with an injury and they still shut down the defense, not to mention all the sacks. The chiefs are even better so they shouldn't have a problem. Although i don't think you can go wrong either way.

Just gave my team a huge overhaul just because the packers have a bye week this week and 3 of my top players are on the packers. Now i might have a small chance of winning this week even though its not very likely.

i feel ya. first two weeks were great for me but with Aaron Rodgers doing awful last week and now on a bye this week my team is in shambles

My biggest issue with Chandler is the Ravens D. My biggest issue with Fleener is how Andrew Luck is 25th in the league in passing attempts, he doesn't throw many touchdowns, the Colts want to run the ball and play with their new toy Trent Richardson, and they are playing the Jags which sounds great but the Colts coach is not a dick like Pete Carroll so he won't be throwing bombs in the third quarter. Luck's day will be over by the second half. If he throws for more than 220 yards and a touchdown I'll be shocked

Ravens gave up pretty big points to TE's in weeks one and two though. Although i am in a PPR league so they get more points in my league than traditional ones. Still, baltimore's defense they used to be. The only reason their stats are as good as they are is because Matt Schaub just handed them the ball on a silver platter last week.

Yeah, I'm gonna stick with Chandler. He's Manuel's security blanket, which is good. I'm just concerned about the opposing defense and Spiller and Jackson taking and the plays, particularly in the redzone.

Honestly I might not be the best person to listen to this week if I say I'm playing that player because I can do whatever I want this week. My matchup this week is a joke. As of right now he's playing Keenan Allen as his top receiver, Michael Crabtree (yes the same one who isn't playing because of his achilles), Marcel Reece, Lamichael James, no TE, Sidney Rice as his flex, and the Green Bay D (who is on a bye week). He's projected at 43 points for his whole team

You literally have to try to be that bad. I have a hard time believing that's not a joke on his part. Maybe he'll put his real guys in before the games?

He has 3 players on the bench. Jordy Nelson, Alex Smith, and Fleener. He had an awful draft. The players he drafted that weren't already injured quickly got injured. He also took a kicker in the 5 round. He isn't joking, he's just really dumb.
