I miss Parkasaurus Inflatable Dinosaurs

hahaha in the credits of high five i remember theres like 5 dudes hanging onto one of the dinos cuz its windy out, and they are all about to go flying

mommy was the shit. Ready Strap Blade was the funniest thing I have ever seen. Those dudes ripped. I also saw mommy in person at my local hill. he was riding some beat up old skogens with a load of tape holding the tip together. he didn't saw much he just rabbled and spoke jiibberish. I also miss superpark and freeze. i remember reading freeze mags over and over again and was entertained every time i read it. a shame that it was cancelled.

i miss when greg tufflemeyer's twelve was the gnariest trick in pipe, boyd easley the landshark, if skiing could go back to what it was in 1242 and geatemaluan persuader i'd be so stoked everyone was such a badass,
and I miss it when kids didn't comment on pro's facebook status's every ten seconds

I miss the dinos, tricks on rails that were simple and smooth and still good enough for a movie, SIVER CARTEL, basicly the whole nimbus crew skiing park, Dumont being 15, thovex and Jon being the guys from across the pond, Fing a cotten everyone, Hall, C.R., Steele, Dave C. The phils, Evan Raps, Bushy, Wilson, Mik D, all killing park. MARK ANDRE, SHANE, DOUG

definitely the blow up dinos. I just watched ski movie 3 today and the intro was so funny with CR and Tanner the hitlist and yearbook intros were dope to.

i really do like film too. i never understood how come people always say bios never happen anymore... people do them all the time, don't they?

i miss skiing not being such a fashion sport. i miss skiing not being such a "im-gonna-try-and-fit-in-and-ski-like-10000-other-dudes, so i can be cool" sport.

"Shit man, I miss the days when we had to clear REAL dinosaurs off of the jibs before we could hit them. Every morning man, it was like the brontosaurs couldn't find a better place to sleep than the landings."

i miss CANDIDE revolutionizing pipe skiing. i miss lolo favre's ridiculously large pipe hits that noone expected. i miss seth's segments from back in the day- sure he still stomps huge front and backflips, but what happened to the rodeos, misties, lincolns etc that he used to send just as regularly. i miss those epic oakley pants with the huge writing down the side, and jon's baller pink jl suit.

D-Spins, sideways tweaked mutes, parkasaurus, ski movies being fun with aggressive music.

I watched Propaganda the other day, it was incredibly awesome.

Yes!! I still have some OG concepts in my garage. I used to have some of the last ones before they started making Troublemakers too.

Stole the words out of my mouth.
I miss the old pro skiers, the ones you really looked up too.
I miss the kids that could just go out and have an awesome time skiing regardless of a camera being there.
I miss being able to go out and not being surrounded by gromits who all look identical and ski identical.
But what I miss most was skiing was a way out of the real world, not it seems like the real world has infiltrated the sport.
I miss not having vimeo, and youtube,ns etc. Inconsistent kids going pro overnight because of an online video.
And most of all I miss when everyone and the great grandma were not doing double flips. They were cool for a second, but now....
I'm going to move to a beach and start surfing until kids realize that you shoudn't ski to go pro, you should ski to have fun, and if your good enough they will find you and make a name out of you.

Well that was depressing. I will always love skiing. But wow the times have changed. And I'm not so good with change.

"hi my name is jon, would you like to see my 720?'

that is still my alltime favorite ski movie. that is the one i watch when i am up at 6 am getting my shit together to get out for an epic dump. sometimes i will randomly the music from any segment in that movie on a jukebox or the radio and picture it in my head.

god i love that movie.

i miss FARP and pow skis that were as wide as park skis are now and when Kris Ostness used to have line pro models.

i remember the first time i saw a rail (crystal mountain, michigan), and shortly after, asking my mom if i could get snowblades like all the kids who were skiing without their parents
later we compromised on orange soloman 1080sstill in my basementraaaaaaaaaad

Haha, if you lament skiing's descent into a shitshow of trends, fads, media overexposure and intenet inspired fuckery, i wouldn't recommend turning to surfing as the alternative- these aspects of the sport are FAR more evident in surfing than skiing ever will be.
