Basically I've been charged with the manufacture/sale/delivery of a schedule I drug (DMT) and distribution of a schedule VI drug (marijuana). Could have landed me 30 years.

Just got off a conference call from the lawyer and it sounds like they've worked out a deal. A generous donation to the county's "drug fund" and they drop the carges to conspiracy and they will also enact a judicial diversion, contingent on me completeing 2 years probabtion without incident.

That means if I make it through probation, the charges are wiped off my record. If I fuck up, they basically have a confession (required for diversion?) and then prosecute me to the full extent of the law.

For those of you wondering how the hell this happened. Lets say I have a good friend who fucked a girl, who used to have an ex-boyfriend, who got pissed and reported my friend to the cops, who set up a sting on my friend, who did business with the undercover agent they sent after him (more than once apparently).

I drive my buddy back home from university (we're from the same hometown). He says to stop to meet a friend on the way. They decides to bust him the one time I drive him back. Guns drawn at my skull and flashing lights pop up all around. Did I mention both me and my friend were tripping at the time? They take us in and get our information. They see we're university students and call university police. They search our rooms. They find stuff in my room that doesn't bode well for me.

Yea so we spend 3 days in the county jail in a cell with a manic depressive schizofrenic, a mexican, and a really fucking old guy. Then they book us in the penetentiary in the county I go to school in after we bail out of county jail. It's maximum security but strangely I felt better there than in the country jail (you get your very own cell). I get the hell out of there after posting bail again and get kicked out of university. I apply to another nearby university and actually get accepted, lol. (I was already in their system from taking classes there during high school.)

Now all that needs to happen is that the county my dorm was located in agrees with the county we were arrested in to the conspiracy charges and diversion deal. We are almost in the clear. What a long strange trip that night has turned out to be.

Oh BTW, part of the incentive for the lowered charges and diversion deal is that they fucked up the warrent to search my room a bit. Not enough to surely totally invalidate it (depends on the judge), but enough to make them think twice about taking it to trial.

There has been 1 scientific study on DMT in the last 30 years or so, and it took several years to get approval. The researcher wrote a book about it. "DMT: The Spirit Molecule", by Rick Strassman. Erowid.com has tons of information on it, like all other substances of particular interest.

It even talks about the Indian tribe in the US that is approved to use it during Christmas celebrations for religious reasons. That was going to be my last line of defense if they actually tried to send us to prison for it, and we would have appealed that mother to the supreme court if we needed to.

I should try to join that tribe...
 
cops suck man. one time one was giving me a hard time and i got arrested for nothing. allegedly i "assulted" him with a "deadly weapon" (screw driver), then also got hit with allegedly "raping" his wife and daughter (total bullshit cause they wanted it). but no worries man, i turned out fine.
 
Haha, well it has to do with the concentrations involved or the presence of metabolic inhibitors. The pineal gland is capable of producing Beta-carbolines that prevent the DMT's breakdown by MAOIs, but these would only be produced in quantity in a very novel situation. Otherwise the brain metabolizes is very quickly (5-20 minutes) and has many safeguards against an "accidental trigger".

Whatever purpose it has for the human mind would be outweighed by the evolutionary disadvantage of becoming physically immobilized during a stressful situation (like a charging lion?) This immobilization during a high dose experience would also prevent you from licking walls, even if you had that urge for some reason. However, I don't know anyone that's tried it and had that impulse, lol.

You would see shit, but you also think and feel in a way (or extent?) that most people in our culture probably haven't.

But if you haven't had any experience with other entheogens before, don't jump in the deep end before you learn to swim. I have a friend that did and he was great, but I wouldn't recommend it. Mushrooms and LSD are a much more gradual and managable experience than the psychedelic

nuclear blast of DMT (or so I hear).

Yea, that kid is fucked up. I know he used to be a coke head for sure, he probably does meth now. The girl in question wants nothing to do with him, he stalks her, but she doesn't want to fork out the $100 a month to keep a restraining order valid. Then he snitches out two kids he went to high school with to make himself feel better? It's sad really.

Yea, regular drug tests and all that supevision blows. Funny cause there isn't even a test for DMT. I can't even go to a party and drink because a MIP or public intoxication gets me at least a few years in prison. Good thing I got enough of that out my system during the first half of college I guess.

have you really done DMT? that stuff is supposidly last longer and is way more intese than salvia. it scare the shit out of me just thinking about doing it.
 
Not necessarily true. Its very easy to have a low dose experience that is IMO easier to deal with than the lengthy trip one gets on Mush or L. In fact its kinda difficult to get the "Nuclear Blast" you are talking about, because the smoke tastes horrid and you have to force yourself to hold in around three full hits in order to get there. What happens more often is just the most amazing visuals you will ever encounter, and the inability to stop watching them for about 2 minutes at which point they fade away.

The only wild part about a DMT trip is how fast everything happens. You come up so fast that you are tripping before you can even recognize what is going on. It sounds really frightening, but its not, in fact it is extremely peaceful and doesnt fuck with your emotions as much as other psychadelics. I hate comparing the two, because the experiences are nothing alike, but Salvia is far more frightening.

I would recommend DMT to every mentally stable person in the world, no matter their previous experiences. Its too beautiful of an experience to pass up.

Im sure you weren't manufacturing anything, but hypothetically, was this a mimosa hostilis extraction that the piggies stumbled on? If it was, you can be assured that in the future you should try it again, because it is really worth the trouble.
 
Salvia makes me feel like shit, that shit is awful. DMT is intense but it doesn't make you feel borderline painful sensations all over your body like salvia does.
 
Shit dude, that could have been a LOT worse, but it still sucks dick... and getting swarmed by cops while tripping sounds miserable haha...

I really want to try DMT, but I had enough of a time getting my hands on acid so I doubt I'll be able to experience it until I go back to college and earn myself a few more connections. Oh well...
 
Thats true, I tend to forget that a low dose trip is possible. The short length is great for knowing that you'll be back in a few minutes, and you're right about the lack of emotional turmoil like you would get with longer acting hallucinagens.

The police did mention Mimosa Hostilis, yes. I very much doubt I would attempt to do something like that after this experience. You only get one chance at diversion, and if I was charged with the same crime a few years down the road there would be hell to pay. Doesn't mean other people can't make it though.
 
Sorry about being excited about probably not going to prison asshole.

We were potentionally facing more than 3 felony charges. One of which was Class A and carried a 15-25 year minimum (equivalent to second-degree murder/rape of a child/etc) so it's a pretty fucking big deal for me.

The goal is to NOT go to trial and work out a deal beforehand. Maybe you should have gotten a better lawyer, or not beaten your wife/stolen a car or whatever the hell you did.

word, don't worry about that fool. props on bein free, mang. keep your nose clean and you'll be fine. two years isn't REALLY that long and it won't be so bad being somewhat clean and approaching life with a sober mind, right? hell, at what better time could it have happened? you have two more years of school left- likely the more intense two years of your undergrad- so just stay focused on that, get out of school, get off probation, and then enjoy the rest of your life with the security of a good career and weed to help take the edge off.
 
I have heard that you can make it for as little as $1 per dose if you run the extraction correctly.

One of the news reports said that doses could run as much as $25 per dose.

So I guess it depends on who you know, like most illegal drugs.

Haha, well that depends on the type of drugs involved. The government would like you to believe they are all the same and deserve to be lumped together under one name. But if you can think objectively and know anything about chemistry you would know that is not the case.

Your latter point is probably true, but honestly I'm not sure how that would happen, especially in new max security prisons. You have your own cell, it even has a camera in it, and an intercom button you can use to speak with guards. The showers there were individual as well. The guards would have to be in on it or something, which could happen I guess.
 
there has been studies that point to show that DmT is released in your brain while your sleeping. You might trip every night wheter you like it or not. You just forget about it because that is a side effect of the drug. People forget their experiences. So next time you go to sleep be very scared if you are afraid of a little psychadelic experience.
 
true that. i had that feeling one time at a friends house. it was suprising and very wierd.

DMT sounds too extreme for me.
 
Well, I went to court again yesterday in an attempt to extend the plea bargain to the county I was living in at the time, but the assistant DA apparently said that the case was "too important" to let go. The university I transferred out of and whose dorms I was living in at the time seems to be pushing this. They had someone representing them to some effect in the courtroom. They seem to think that it would help their reputation if I was put away for a while.

We have one more option in getting this case settled favorably before the actual trial processes begin. Don't want to say anything else about it so as to not jeopardize the effort...but we need all the good vibes we can get at the moment.
