The Reason tobbacco is legal is because of the funds they're pouring into the government, and it sucks up peoples money holding them in a deadlock with poverty, which in turn takes their attention off how the country is run and how to stay above the poverty line.

The reason alcohal is legal, although it is addictive, distorts decision making, and thousands of people die from overdosing it and crashing their cars, is because alcohal doesn't provoke thought. It's a depressant, meaning it suppresses thought and logic.

Hallucinagenics are illegal not because people die on them, or mentally unstable people take them, or fucktards think they can fly and jump off buildings (try from the ground first morons), but because they provoke thought patterns which are unique to the user. If the user thinks of some of the things that are being fed into peoples minds, they realize that it is the corporation representing a product, or the government itsself which is responsible for the dulling and pattern positioning of the mind. Dude, I'd love to buy into your conspiracy theory here, but the reason hallucinogens are illegal is because when they came out they were being used (and abused) largely by a bunch of hippies that the rest of the God-fearing nation hated passionately. Thus, the government decided it was dangerous to society and banned them.

Do you have any real idea of what the hallucinogenic threshold effects are for LSD, or do you still think that hallucinagens would make pink elephants run out in the road in front of an experienced psychonautic explorer of sound mind on one dose of LSD (based on what popular culture would tell you)? That was not the first time I had experienced it, and well before I ever got in car while dosed, I had extensively cruised around campus on my bike. My motor skills were not impaired. Now you know how Hoffman made it back after is initial MASSIVE DOSE of LSD, despite not knowing wtf he was in for.

Don't tell me that I'm irresponsible for driving in an altered state of mind when you have no idea how my mindset was actually altered.

How do you know that your motor skills are not impaired if are in any form of an altered state of mind? I don't feel like my motor skills are altered when I am on prescription barbiturates or narcotics, but that doesn't mean that I should be driving on them. I can still rip on my skis when I am drunk, but that doesn't mean that I should be driving after 2 40s. I am not saying that every hallucinogen is going to give you visuals or make your impaired to drive. But that doesn't mean you should nonchalantly drive around on them after doing your highly clinical tests of riding your beach cruiser around campus.

Stop blaming the government for your problems when you knew the consequences when you started. You got fucked, but be a man and deal with it. At least mommy and daddy are picking up your probably high 5 figure lawyer tab and donations when all is said in done.

^ are you serious? you seriously doubt that no1 has been murdered as a result of drug use and distribution? thats rediculous. Also, alchohol is a drug, it is legal because its an ingrown part of society and has been for thousands of years as part of culture, i know drugs have been part of culture as well and i feel that alchohol abuse is an extremely important drug problem, however i feel that people in most cases know enough about alchohol to use it responsibley and the law is getting better at enforcing their regulations. I cant answer why some drugs are legal and some arent, but i believe that its part in culture and statistical evidence points to some being more dangerous than others. when dick cheney "shot a man in the face" he didnt do it on purpose,obviously, it was a hunting accident, being the vice president he could pull strings. There is a difference between a unifluenced accident due to icnompentence and a DUI charge or vehicular manslaughter.
 
Depends on what kind of drugs you're talking about. People don't kill eachother to get hallucinagenic drugs, largely because they aren't addictive and the culture around them is generally very peaceful. And hallucinagenic drugs have been a part of almost every native population before the rise of modern western civilization. Humans are wired for it.

Caffeine is a drug and people drive on it all the time. Does it impair their ability to do so? No. Knowing nothing about LSD at all, let alone threshold doses, what makes you think it makes driving more dangerous? It's not like I was driving through Manhatten with people running out in the street everywhere or even on the interstate. Damn people, chill.

If you knew anything about hallucinagenic grugs you would know that they don't actually make you hallucinate (except at extreme doses in which you could enter a dream like state). Much like an extreme dose of caffeine making someone tweek out like mad. I assure you I know how these substances affect me.

I would encourage you to experience them for yourself a few times so that you can make your own informed decision instead of basing it off 2nd or 3rd hand information.
 
This is a support post, I meant to quote the other dude and fucked up. But yeah, people just don't get killed over hallucinogens... to the person who said that - get bent. People get killed over addictive drugs. Drugs that people crave for and will do anything for. Hallucinogens are not like that. They're spiritual, fun, mind-opening, and powerful, but they're anything but addictive. Their very nature insists on a close-knit, well-meaning and cooperative community.

Also, in limited dosage driving while tripping would be perfectly safe. With most hallucinogens, but with LSD especially, things won't start moving or changing unless you stare at them for a few seconds in small doses (2 tabs or less, in my experience). You definitely won't see anything that doesn't exist. If you have to stare at something for a few seconds for it to break from reality, then in a moving car you're pretty set. The windshield might dance around a bit if it's dirty, but for the most part things will appear relatively normal, except sweeter. Don't talk like you know shit when you don't.
 
im not talking shit...its just pretty obvious that you should drive when your on hallucigenic drugs, things shouldnt be moving at all, when your driving, respect the other drivers on the road and pedestrians by staying off the drugs when your driving a vehicle. Its just not a good idea, im not just ripping on hullicgenic drugs, i just dont think drug use is a good, im not gonna stop drinking pepsi b/c it doesnt effect me, but i just disagree with many things that go on with drugs
