there sick, i dont know how many of you have them, but there a super tight ski there 124 87 115 at 182 cm. and there quite stif, they dont feel like a space frame core to me. what do you all think?

actuly one of the things i did notice is that theres only one edge on the ski, the edge comes together at the tail. so it hopefuly wont delam as much. id post pictures, but the computer im on is horrible, it takes like 2 minutes to load a page, so yeah, i will when i get home on sunday.

i tried them, and i didnt like 'em...same as the 1080 Spaceframe but wider...i had no stability whatsoever

 
its a foam core, my friend who runs a ski shop has all next years stuff and was riding em and says there still a foam not to different

How much were they? My local shop has them for 550, kind of expensive considering next year's Fujitives are 300 at the same place...They look sick though and I've heard good things about them.

Freezy the FOILS are ganna be retail at 800 and last time i checked thats more than 700. I think these are ganna be the best park skis every made

yeah but salomon always jacks their MSRP up way higher than you will find it in any shop so they can advertise a "Sale" even though they are selling at normal price, just a scam to sell more skis.

The new 1080s rock just like all the others. Yeah the prices are jacked up but if you look you'll be able to get em for half of retail

ok, heres my review for all of you. this ski kicks ass, its nothing like the old 1080s because for once its actuly a real ski! the core is a wood foam sandwich, but it def. rides like a wood core ski, and also sounds like it when it his the ground and stuff. there is also a noticeable curve to the ski like the ar5s. there a super solid and stable ski. the only thing was they are VERY FAST i was at breck and was use to going straight into jumps but with these i was almost clearing the landing my first jump ( a feet if you have ever been to breck) also in the pipe there a super solid ski and fell extremely comfortable in the air. they hold an edge and speed well. if i have anything else to add i will tell you all. and if you have any questions, ask.

the foils arent gonna be 800$.. thell be around 500 once they get into all the shops and websites... I have ridden the foils for a while now.. there really sick ski, wide for all mountain, but there still really light for the park... you can say they have a foam core, but even if they do.. the new skis are so much better than the old 1080's so dont talk shit till you have ridden a pair...

 
the foils look super fuckin sick. if they ski as well as that guy says they do, then that's a good ski.

I was able to try out the new foils, the 05/06 PE's and the fujitives last weekend. In the end, the 05/06 PE's were what stood out the most, they're dope. The foils were beat to shit and the fujitives weren't so bad.

i think its funny how u guys say " dont support salomon" and shit, salomon basically starting skiing and things would be a lot different today if it wasnt for them. yes my name is salomonman, but its the truth, learn some history of your sport before u hate on one of our founding companies

 
for the record, they arent 1080s, they are foils...comparing them to 1080s isnt quite right...

i've said this multiple times, the names of the skis are foils, thrusters, guns, and 1080 S LAB

yeah theres gonna be another ski thats actually a 1080 lab thats gonna come out sometime. The foils cost like 650 cdn at my shop thats like 500 US so 800 is out of the question, they look really sick

Salomon definetly did not start freeskiing. As much as they will claim they did. Even if the 1080 was never invented, freeskiing still would have taken off. Salomon didn't inspire people to start making twins. The people doing the skiing did that.
