simmer ginger in a cup of water for 5 min, then add a thai chilli and mint. add this whole mixture to a tall glass with 2 shots of white rum, the juice of two limes, and a 1/4 cup of honey. that might seem like a lot of honey but with the heat of the whole chilli, and the acidity of the lemons, you really need that sweetness to balance it.
all of those ingredients are very anti inflammatory, and give your body antioxidants, while also clearing the fuck out of your throat. the rum may not be beneficial nutritionally, but i find it really helps with soothing my throat, and clearing mucus.
by the way this drink is also awesome when taking vape or bong hits, makes the hits much smoother.
other than that, eat a lot of home made bone broth if you happen to have any, coconut oil or milk can help with colds too.
