HOW TO MAKE A CREWNECK TUTORIAL

please post the patterns soon, as i think i am going to try this. what was your total cost for fabrics?

Quick note: If you are doing the neck ribbing, I found that smaller is better than larger so what I have been using as cut-out dimensions is instead of 19 5/8' X 3 1/8", I have been using just plain 19" x 2.5". You get a tighter, more low profile collar that doesn't bug out(if you've made a collar slightly too big you will know what i mean) and it also doesn't stretch out and sag like the collar of an old t shirt.

Also, those looking to buy a crew that I've been making, buy a pattern set, commission a custom, or check out my sizing; my thread should be up in B/S/T by tommorow night.

And again, thanks for all the positive comments guys.

I hate to be THAT guy and triple post but plus k for making that clicky and then telling me why that didn't work.

I just copy paste the url and it always works.

threads because i'm going to start customizing a crew right now, and if I make a design i like, i will most likely talk to this guy.

I like how so many people on here try to act all gangsta and wear baggy clothes, yet get so excited about sewing, haha

also, way to put yourself out of business (if you were selling these)

It was in BST and I was selling some crews I made and some patterns I made, and then I said to message me if you want a custom one made. Not exactly advertising, just letting people know that I will make them a custom if they so desire. I dont know how I would get the word out other wise and some people were asking in this thread anyways. I'm sure it's some legal issue or something but who knows.

Ok so I must confine my buy sell trade type stuff to a cult as to not contribute to the clutter in that forum so if you are remotely interested in buying premade crews, commissioning a custom, buying a pattern, asking questions, saying hi, or whatever join the cult por favor:

If this doesn't work tell me please, I'm not well versed in cult stuff:

not to triple post again on the same page but 10/10 for clicky and for helping me figure out how to post and invite link if that doesn't do the job.

click?
hey I was wondering. have you ever made this with a serger, or sewing the seams flat? because that is one reason I have stayed away from doing t-shirts and sweaters is because I don't have a serger... I guess sewing the seams flat would be kind of too complicated for a tutorial?anyhow, I definitely want to try some new sewing projects this fall... thumbs up again

I had to just google a serger so nope haha as for sewing the seams flat, I don't do it. I don't really feel the need to since these are such big pieces of clothing that the seams are not noticeable while wearing them. I do however, as you can see in the tutorial, trim the seams on the ribbing because, on the cuffs, the seam can be annoying when it rubs on your wrist. I hope that helped!

arent you selling some of your work in the BST? I dont feel like going through the custom stuff cause i saw ones i liked and want to buy, but i cannot for the life of me find itt.

It was deleted because we aren't allowed to sell homemade stuff in BST anymore. But I started a cult if you look a little bit up the page and that thread is now in there.

Where can I buy sweatshirt fabric online? Has anyone here done that? Jo-Ann fabrics didnt have shit for sweatshirt material

Attempt #1 still needs to attach other sleeve and ribbing
