i have lucid dreams occasionally, but they are few and far between. I tried the sleep paralysis method last night and it was nuts. i had been drinking, so that made laying still real easy. After about 5 minutes, my fingers actually began to hurt, but i just stayed still through it. Then my toes fell asleep, and that kind of moved up through my body for 10 minutes. My breathing slowed down, and I felt myself sink into my bed. I didn't quite get auditory hallucinations, but living in a dorm, all the noises around me (pipes knocking, people talking, cars driving by) were overwhelmingly loud. The whole time I was just thinking about skiing and the northeast actually getting snow. I finally was able to fall asleep, and when I began to dream, it was the same lucid dreaming experience as I've had before. I basically walked out of my dorm room and I was standing on top of this amazing ski run, with waist deep blower powder. It was basically total sensory recall, I even had the feeling of spinning in the air, and I've only had that feeling when actually skiing.
tl;dr- It worked for me, but I was drunk, and the auditory shit before you fall asleep sucks.
