How to lucid dream tonight!

I semi-mastered lucid dreaming a few months ago, but stopped doing it after I shot somebody in my dream. Anyway, I tried this method when I first started and it really fucking sucked. I entered the sleep paralysis stage and started hear the sound of marching footsteps. I tried to open my eyes and saw what looked like dark figures closing in on me. Finally I managed to wake myself up, but I was scared shitless to sleep again, so I didn't.

Sleep paralysis is scary as fuck when you don't know whats going on! It happened to me and i was scared shitless haha

holy fuck, I never knew about sleep paralysis until now. im a little bit scared to go to sleep now.

i wanna try this but i have entered sleep paralysis before. shits creepy as fuck. usually happens to me around exam times and when i am stressed out. Its even happened to me or something similar when i was taking sleeping pills to help me sleep. they would knock me out and i would feel awake but i couldnt move and all i heard was a loud screeching noise.

Fuck that sleep paralysis sucks. It sounds harmless until you feel like youre strapped down in your bed convinced aliens are about to probe you or you literally feel like somebody's suffocating you or you see some crazy fucked up shit and try as hard as you can to scream but nothing comes out. I would never willingly induce sleep paralysis. That shits nothing compared to a night terror though.

This,

they make sleep paralysis sound fun, you are literally pinned down, if your room lit on fire, youd be stuck..

Holy Fuck, this is not a troll thread. It actually works

I was just lying in bed, I started to feel tingling in my feet but I didn't do anything. I had a really bad urge to itch my arm but I still didn't do anything. 2 minutes later I started to feel something kind of heavy on my forehead. My forehead kept getting more and more heavy and then I started to sink deeper into the pillow. I felt my breathing kind of restricted and this weird tingling feeling kept on passing up my body. I felt like I was in quick sand and I was sinking through my bed, I couldn't get out and when I opened my eyes I was in my dream.

I am never doing that again

Don't expect too much. I've noticed, at least for me, its usually hit or miss and takes a few tries. I have to have 8ish hrs of sleep and even then about 90% of the time I realize I'm in a dream but the dream continues on - its as if I refuse to control my dreams and instead just try to live within them.

I receive a feeling that somethings wrong, mid-dream - for instance I'll think to myself why the fuck am I doing xyz action, or why is my watch on the wrong hand, why am I wearing these clothes I hate, or why isn't the clock moving? - at this point I'll realize it's a dream because its something I would normally not do. In one notable dream I noticed I slid down stairs like goo or a more liquid silly putty - at this moment I realized I was in a dream, but rather than doing something cool I told everyone within my dream that I knew I was dreaming and continued sliding down the stairs like goo.

Sleep paralysis is nothing to fuck with. A few months ago i had it, and slenderman came out from behind my surfboard and starting getting closer and closer to my bed. Not chill.

Man this sounds so interesting I have to try this. I'm sort of scared of the creepy stuff that can happen during sleep paralysis though..

Dreaming can be so fucking awesome.

to all the guys with overly negative experiences with sleep paralysis: do you have "regular" nightmares too?

because i cant remember a single nightmare in my life, everything is just fun and harmless. even if its somewhat terrifying, i dont experience it that way.

and i wonder if and why that would change when i try that lucid dream method.

this happens to me in almost every dream. i can always tell im dreaming but its like i dont care and just let it continue on. when im in the dream i never consider doing whatever i want

I can't ever remember a dream i had the previous night. It always feels like I do but just can't seem to picture it. So if I can't even remember a dream I don't think lucid dreaming is going to work for me. Thats what I think can someone correct me if i''m wrong?

basically that happened to me too....i couldn't breathe and i started to freak out...im gonna try again haha

but ill google it and see if there are different ways to do it!

So I was doing it last night, I was almost in sleep paralis and someone screamed so I opened my eyes and no one was there. Sleep paralis is sketch sometimes

I suck at staying in a lucid dream. For me there always a graffiti dream and once I realize im dreaming somebody comes to wake me up, usually someone chasing me away from the wall i was painting in my dream. I keep trying to fight it, even threw a flash light in the guys face last dream but then he chased me and i took of running and woke up again. Its kind of annoying its like the second i realize im in a lucid dream and start to have fun with it someone shows up and scares me awake and i know its coming and cant stop it.

I tried it last night but I could only stay still for a couple of minutes before I got scared and went to bed. I was tripping the fuck out though, I could feel my body getting heavier and sinking into my bed, my eyes getting heavier. I opened my eyes at 1 point and had to move my hand around because I thought I was dreaming. Its just weird concentrating on staying still for so long. I'm going to try it again tonight.

this shit wotks. i tried it and after 30 mins i fell asleep. 5 mins later i woke up bbut i couldnt move. then all this crazy shit happened

When i was In sleep paralysis it was so scary. So my bed is up against the wall and i was sleeping on my side facing the wall . Then iafter i enter sleep paralysis i start hearing all these scary as fuck noises from behind me, and it felt like there was something behind me bit i couldn't turn around and see. I was honestly scared to go back to sleep.

I used to get these all the time as a kid, will try this tonight. still get then fairly often doing nothing so I'm hoping it works out

ive been having real vivid dreams where i can remember lots of details and shit. Im gunna try this lucid thing tonight so i can fly around and ski and shit. Maybe i already am lucid dreaming but just dont realize im dreaming? idk

I always end up dreaming when I know I'm dreaming. Like when I wake up the next morning I realize that I knew the whole time I was dreaming, but I never do anything about it.

Last night I had a terrible dream about demons and shit like that, but I was never actually scared. It's like I knew I could change the dream if I wanted to but I never did. Kinda weird haha, I woke up like damn that was cool, not like oh fuck that was scary.

Will try this technique tonight though, I'll let you guys know how it goes.

Im fairly good with being able to have lucid dreams. Im not an expert but i can control my dreams like half of the time if i try to. In my experience with them (I've had at least 50 fully controlled dreams) there pretty awesome but ive only been in sleep paralysis once. I entered sleep paralysis on accident, my roomate was puking and my brain woke up before my body. I saw a girl that looked like the ring girl walking on all fours towards me with her head upside down staring at me. DO NOT DO THIS METHOD IF YOU HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED SLEEP PARALYSIS. It blows hole. Go with the dream journal method because i would personally rather never have a lucid dream again in my life than experience sleep paralysis one more time. That shit sucks.
