i have looked in the search bar and all of the threads suck so,

i have always wndered ow to throw one, b.c. i ahve seen it done differently many times

get on a trampoline and try them before you go onto snow. i am no pro but i think of takeing my left ear and throw it toward my right ass cheak. that is probily bad advise but whatevere works

JUst huck your first 100 of them and there pretty easy if you dont freak out int he air, just throw a hard 3 and look at your inside ski and keep your head down.

^^Definitely say practice a lot on a trampoline first, once you feel confident in your ability to do a rodeo then attempt it on the snow.

Attempting new trick tips:

1. Do not ask questions

2. Do not think about what you are going to do

3. Cancentrat = bad Giv'er=good

4. giv'er

5. get up and repeat.

6. if you miraculously get it then ski away and be happy.

7. repeat.

get lincolns down, then just throw the lincoln back a little too or try to throw a 180 lincoln...just go watch ATA does trains videos

Sorry to revive this old thread but I have a question that was not answered here or other threads that I searched:

Do you kick off harder with the left foot for the lincoln loop part of the rotation?

Or do I just go off with equal weight on both feet and drop the shoulder (doesn't seem like this would be enough for the whole rodeo)?

yea but then theres the ones that corey vanular does in lss where he basically just does a lincoln loop and then a late 180

if i actaully do them right here is my best shot.... do a lincoln and grab critical, and just go with it. that sets me into one atleast. try that.

People do it both ways. I like to do a mellow carve left into the jump, transition my weight on the lip to my outside edges, and pop with a little extra on my right ski (spinning to the left). However, I've done them where you pop off your left ski too. Just do whatever feels most natural. From there drop your right shoulder, poke your left elbow behind you and look over your shoulder, and keep it tucked till you come around.

You can change stylistically a bit too. For instance, keep eyes forward if you want to take it more straight over like a lincoln. Or, the more you carve it and look over your shoulder, the more off axis you'll be.

Oh, and practice on a tramp if you've got one...

You wanna act like you're kicking a soccer ball with both of your feet up by your head. Drop your downhill shoulder, and then bring the rest of you body around after your feet.

Best way I can explain it...
