I did, a 2 years ago i got my first pair of twins, realy wanted to do a spin, too scared of landing switch so i just commited and did a 3, this happen to anyone else?
nope. I learned to 180 on the little side-of-trail jumps that 8 year olds love so much. come to think of it, I like them a lot too- they're super funn to just tear around in big trains, when there's no big mountain stuff open...
switch 180s first because this chick on my mountain was learnign them too so i decided to try them.... i got it before she did. but yeah 360s seem easier i never learned a 180 until after switch 1's and 360s
i was doing 180s and switch 180s like nobodys business before i even got twin tips. then the first day i got twin tips i went for 360. sounds a little weird but yeah
I honestly started with a 3. Never tried 180 before. I don't have twin tips. Is there really a difference between twin tips and other skis? I know they allow you to go backwards, but is that all?
First 3 I learned on jumps before I even tried a 1...I dunno 1s just came natural from just going switch on groomers or over little lips...Never really learnt them they just kinda came to me haha
I learned switch 1's first because i was at first afraid of both spinning a 3 and landing backwards, but skiing backwards wasnt the problem, just landing felt awkward
i started with 1s well before 3s. i think it totally fucked me up though cuz once i started trying 3s it was very difficult to get past the 180-270 rotation. but after i learned 3s and 5s and higher 1s became very difficult again. especially on large jumps
