dont do it theyre way, take a board, cover the top with formica, then use pvc as coping on the side, make sure ur coping is like a lil above the formica surface and screw it on from the side. its perfect.
take a big ass drill bit into the side and then a smaller one through the hole and into the wood that you want to connect it to. screw it in. do this like every 2 feet or less. take a file and soften the hole and the ends of the pipe they can wreck your bases if you fall or you dont drill it right. i suggest making a frame out of 2x4's that is triangular its really stable. also take the same big ass drill bit into the bottom of the frame and buy some 10 inch spikes to hammer into the snow or ground so the rail doesnt move if you slide off the side early. thats how i do it at least, but there is tons of ways. find some scrap wood and pipes and experiment a little i did that till i figured that out
well for a rail out of one piece of pvc, take like a 3x3x whatever length you want piece of wood, and screw two or three flat boards perpindicular to it. Then take a one and a half inch pipe, and for every screw hole you want to make, drill a large enough hole that you can fit you bit into it in the top of the pipe. Then stick your bit through the hole you made, and screw the pvc to the wood. View attachment 370956
