How do I fix this

Recently my hometown got 3 feet of snow overnight, as normal people do I immediately hopped in my car and hit street spots, ended up catching a nasty ding and I need to fix it before I can hit up the resort.1055737.jpeg
 
1. take blowtorch to affected area

2. make a hole from the softened base

3. pee in the hole for at least 5 minutes

4. End
 
Take a razor blade and cut it flat, sand it rough and then fill with some WEST SYSTEMS G/FLEX 650. Use the razor as a squeegee to get it mostly flat and then use a ski file flat on the base if you need to do any extra.
 
1. Take your moms kitchen knife and cut out the parts that is sticking up.

2. Buy PTEX or some type of base filler (can google) and fill it in.

3. Ski

OP, here's what you wanna do...

Get a razor blade and cut that chunk flat, then obtain some West Systems G/Flex 650 and fill the hole with epoxy until it's level, or a little higher than the base of your ski, and then you file/sand down the epoxy until its flush with your base! :)

Melt some Crayola and fill the hole until it's level, or a little higher than the base of your ski
 
Uhh duh you just dont fix that, you can keep hitting urban just fine on those. Why TF would you want to ski anything besides sketchy street spots?

Actually trying this tmr thanks for the help brotha
 
Option 1: take it to shop (cons: might not know what they're doing, pros: off your hands, if they do a shitty job get it redone - I used to guarantee my work when i was working in the shop).



Option 2: Remove excess but don't cut to core -> fill with ptex (cons: probs wont hold, pros: super quick and less work)\



Option 3: (my preferred)

1) heat ski a little to make cutting easier (iron will work)

2) cut out a clean margin of affected area, preferably a square or diamond shape DOWN TO CORE [wood] (kinda like cutting out cancer, extend it a few millimetres past defect)

3) Fill with metal grip 1 layer, then 2nd layer of ptex to finish (metal grip grips easier to core and ptex than does ptex to base material)

Other tips on actually how to apply these things should be on a youtube etc...

can you wax just fine over epoxy? I’ve only ever used ptex but it doesn’t work very well for anything more than deep scratches

In my experience this epoxy is unable to hold wax like the "pores" on the base of skis... but the epoxy is actually a harder material than ski base material, if mixed appropriate and left to dry, it'll slide like butter and hold up better than your bases to rocks and scratches.

Well, that isn’t good but in my opinion the best approach would be to sell those pieces of shit and buy OSAMA PROS, the best and coolest ski. The OSAMA PRO’s amazing value makes it affordable to even the most broke of skiers.
