ouch that one hurt, but throw down gst, shipping, warrenty, tapes, accessorie and your looking at way more than that. Not to mention that most people dont trust online sites like that. Befor you jump to conslusions thinking that you know anything about the pricing or working of video gear or camera think about who your talking to. Its my job to know what has good quality and what is worth the buck.
also at 1500 there is no point in getting a HD camera, when you can get a good non-hd camera for the same price as a low hd cammera. Not to mention that most "HD" camera out right now are not true HD. Most use the name because it atracts the general consumer to it thinking that it is the highest possible quality when in reality all they did was slightly enhance the video quality. True HD camera will run you anywhere from 4000 to 15000, and there we are not even talking about high rate cameras that can capture hundreds of frames a second, those cost even more.
So next time you go spouting info stop and think that mabey someone else might know just a bit more than you
