my boy sean is thinking about buying a 1500 cash money high def camera. is it worth it.if so what is the best camera you could by with that money or less. Links?

im pretty sure you cant get a high def camera for 1500... the best you could get with that is a Canon GL2. high def cameras run alot more than 1500

i wouldnt bother. the cheapest would be the sony hc1 or hc3 but you can get better all around performance (ex. manual controls, low light) with standard definition. also, you cant make high def dvds yet so there isnt really any point. that said, if you film in good lighting and hook the camera up to a high def tv it looks absolutely stunning.

ouch that one hurt, but throw down gst, shipping, warrenty, tapes, accessorie and your looking at way more than that. Not to mention that most people dont trust online sites like that. Befor you jump to conslusions thinking that you know anything about the pricing or working of video gear or camera think about who your talking to. Its my job to know what has good quality and what is worth the buck.

also at 1500 there is no point in getting a HD camera, when you can get a good non-hd camera for the same price as a low hd cammera. Not to mention that most "HD" camera out right now are not true HD. Most use the name because it atracts the general consumer to it thinking that it is the highest possible quality when in reality all they did was slightly enhance the video quality. True HD camera will run you anywhere from 4000 to 15000, and there we are not even talking about high rate cameras that can capture hundreds of frames a second, those cost even more.

So next time you go spouting info stop and think that mabey someone else might know just a bit more than you

this kid wanted to know what is a hd camera for under 1500. i provided him with information.the quality of that camera surpasses any other camera in that price range and im sure tapes and accesories can be easily aqquired at a very cheap price.

which is fine but why spend the cash on a low end hd cammera when he could get a higher end non-hd cammera. I never sayed your wrong just that you have to consider all the info not just the question

i have the camera and the quality is incredible, and was well worth the 1675 i spent, including tax, tapes, warranty, and firewire cable...

not worth it just thats a lot of money to waste a 3ccd is fine and you can make the color look almost as good if edited well
