It was a great game regardless of who you cheer for, we're neighbors right?As with any upset, the "better" team played way worse than they ere supposed to, but the key to actually being a better team includes playing with consistency. In the olympics that means playing well IN EVERY GAME, we shall see if either team has it in the next week or so.

We have not been in a major conflict since the second world war..but I guess our W/L ratio isn't soooo bad. You cannot lie, we did burn your whitehouse down.
 
wow, i don't know where you Canadians get your history from, but much of this is completely inaccurate and ridiculous. i am only going to address WWII tho cause I have better things to do with my time. if it was not for the US, the nazis probably would have won the war. we built supply ships faster than the German U-boats could sink them and effectively kept the UK from starving to death, without us they were fucked. Oh and as far as the atomic bomb droppings, they actually saved hundreds of thousands of American and Japanese lives. We had no choice but to use the nuclear weapons because the Japanese were not going to surrender. Estimated death tolls for a full-on assault of the Japanese mainland were in the neighborhood of 0.5 million American deaths and probably even more for the Japanese. It was terrible what we did to all those Japanese civilians, i.e. all the suffering from radiation and what not, but they brought upon themselves when they attacked us and would not surrender.
So next time you think you know what your talking about you should probably check your facts first.
Oh and one more thing, USA beat you pussy ass bitches in hockey, the one thing you are supposed to be good at!

you guys are really arguing about what country is better based on wars? that's pretty ridiculous.

it's obvious that the US is a bigger world power, but whatever. i do agree kinda with what the guy said about WW1, to an extent. Although Woodrow Wilson (the american president at the time) only came into the conflict in 1917, america greatly resupplied the trenches and exhausted french/english/ally soldiers.

so, even if we were only in the war for a year, we definitely helped win it. but, it's hockey, wars don't matter. america would destroy canada in a war, and that's not arguable.

so, enough of this nonsense, let's all hope to see US vs. Canada in the finals, and see if the US can continue to be the better team, or if Canada will play better.

let the best team win gold.
