HEY CANADA

lol at US war history. The only argument you have is WWI. The Canadians sacrificed A LOT in that war. Canadians have served with valor and integrity in every conflict they have been involved in. But WWII..come on, seriously, how can someone possibly minimize the role the US played in that war. Go look up the failed invasion of Dieppe to see what the Canadians accomplished there. Even though most of WWII was a collab, and yes, Canadians served with incredible valor just like everyone else did, it was the US industrial complex that pushed the world through that war. And the Canadians didn't burn down the whitehouse, the British did. The US took Toronto (then York) in the War of 1812 and burnt it to the ground. Read some shit about NORAD and you'll begin to see how dependent you Canadians are on the US for military defense. Or look into "the canadian question" which basically questions Canada's ability to remain autonomous in the face of such an influential country. US economic invasions of Canada have been successful for centuries and continue to be today.

going to end up eating my words in a few days. Germany is 3 behind the US in medal count. I'm not sure the US could own the medal count in a winter games, just too damn hard.

only nation to complete a d-day objective on d-day, despite facing the highest seawall of all the beaches and being the only ones to encounter tiger tanks that day.

umm if you actually watched the game Canada pretty much dominated the whole time Brodeur just had a bad game, if Luongo was in nets im sure it would have been a different story

This is why i think all americans are ignorant redneck tools, I don't like crosby, none of my homies like him, the only Canadians that do are 16 year old girls from Cole Harbor, Nova scotia. get over yourselves, won one game, won't happen again.

2002 wasn't the olympics in Salt Lake, didn't the american woman stomp our flag in the change room then proceed to get demoed, along with your so called "men," I see a repeat.

Hahaha, I love how you guys are arguing about wars and how awesome/not awesome the US army is. Seriously???!! This was about hockey just last night and now you guys are talking about how well the US has done in wars? Wow...

I suggest you restudy DDAY. American paratroopers captured nearly all of their objectives, some before the landings even started. I'm not minimizing anything the brits or canadians or australians did on DDAY because they sacrificed tremendously, but compared to what the US went through at Omaha Beach, the landings at Sword, Juno, and Gold were cake walks. The Canadians did meet fierce resistance at Juno beach, and they certainly had a rough go of it, but Omaha was the most heavily defended beach on the Contentin Peninsula. We lost about 2400 guys in under a single day there, and the only way the beachhead could be established was through the efforts of the US Rangers. They scaled sheer cliffs under heavy fire to take out gun emplacements above the beach. When they got up, they were totally exposed. What's worse, the guns had been moved, so they had to search for them under continuing fire for hours. So badass...anyway, I'm not minimizing Canada, they were an integral part of the invasion force. I wrote a big research paper on why the atlantic wall failed during DDAY, so this stuff is fresh in my mind.

Also, consider the Pacific War-some of the most brutal battles of WWII.

If you want real Canadian pride, look up Vimy Ridge-the first time the Canucks fought together as a national unit. Amazing story. I'm damn proud of you all when I read about that.

THAT

brodeur just blew the game. the canadians outshot the americans x2 it was just miller was on fire

you guys keep saying that, but it doesn't matter
if you guys insist, maybe next time they play brodeur will play better and you'll win. but, miller is an AMERICAN, he plays for AMERICA. if he had citizenship to canada we wouldn't bitch about why we lost because of one player.
miller didn't score a single goal...

OK fair enough, but you must admit that the Canadian offense was far more powerful. and well play luongo next time

In war of 1812 the USA burnt down the majority of york (present-day toronto) including Canada's Parliament.

did you skip all of your high school history classes? IF IT WASNT FOR THE US GETTING INVOLVED THE AXIS POWERS WOULD HAVE WON THE WAR. let alone UK would have starved to death, china wouldve gotten destroyed and raped just like in Nanjing. chances are if pearl harbor wouldnt have been bombed and the US would have stayed isolationists your country wouldve been eventually taken. so dick off asshat becasue canada isnt shit without america backing them up. / rantbut i still love canada. just not you

Can someone please post a list of the infinite things Americans have invented, just so we can all be truly reminded of its unending glory?

I've recently been in need of a reminder of just how amazing of a place it truly is because I haven't heard it lately. Could you be so kind?

Please remind the rest of the world how indebted we are to you and how much you mean to all of us. Can you redefine our happiness for us too? I forgot how to be happy without your incessant belligerent presence.

I further feel the need to hear all things from your perspective, as it is consistently right and fully informed and I for one, am tired of not succeeding. I need your careful and assuring guidance.

America, fuck yeah!

Yes we understand USA won because your goalie stood on his head, we will see how cocky you guys are when we beat you when it actually counts.

I duno about this one, I'm pretty sure we didn't "win" because that place still is and always will be fucked.

It was. If the British army left Canada before the War of 1812, that country would be ours. We came incredibly close to taking Canada in the War for Independence, but Quebec City proved impossible to take. Our army was wracked by disease in what proved to be an incredibly brutal late fall and winter. There was a fuckin blizzard on the night we decided to attack the city. We took Montreal easily, but we were unable to pull away with a victory at QC. Montgomery, the general in charge of the assault on Montreal, was killed at Quebec during the attack, and Benedict Arnold was hit in the leg and put out of commission. Read some stuff about Daniel Morgan at Quebec City, and during the war in general. What a true American hero/legend. Anyway, had the Brits not been in Canada in 1812, The US would be fucking huge!!!

HAHAHA read the first page and this page, people pulling out historical facts to support their Countries dominance.

Please, Are you guys serious. Its fucking lines drawn on a map, national pride is so fucking stupid. As much as you Canadians love to hate the US you would be nothing without us and visa-verse. Canadians and Americans are EXACTLY the same.

every body knows that candian chicks wipe back to front and have shity pussys.. DUH!

but really i could not care.. i cannot enter the country of Canada for 2 more years.. no biggy not missing out on anything.. other than a heart attack from poutine!

you're fucked up self-centred conceited idiot to say all that. those are only true to a point, i'd call maybe a quarter of them true victories. btw nam was a complete failure.

and how can you say the "American Civil War" is a victory?? it was americans vs americans so obviously americans won, but they also lost. I'd call any civil war in general a loss
