alright. at the moment i have 179 seth vicious mounted at +4. they kill everything the mountian has to offer. they're great on hardpack, they make tight snappy turns in pow, and with a light swing weight, i can toss 'em around easily in the air.
i used to have the 189 seth vicious, and they made huge arching turns at mach 4. at the time i needed to make snappier turns, so i downsized to the 179. due to financial reasons, i could only have one pow ski at the time.
now i have the opportunity to own more than one ski. i want one everyday ski.. something that can do everyting the 179 seths are doing for me right now. Then yet another pow ski that makes those huge big ass arching turns in pow. i want one shorter ski at around a 180cm length, and one longer one at around a 190cm length.
one option is to stick with the 179 seths and get that other big pow ski i was talking about. these are the ski i'm taking into consideration-
190 VCT
189 Maden AK
188 Jp Vs. Juliens
190 Gotama
190 Mojo 105
Tha 187
189 Pontoons
now the other option would be to get rid of the 179 seths and step it up to the 189s. then i would need to get something around a 180cm length that kills it all mountain. i'm considering these skis, but are open to other ideas-
179 maden ak
179 prophet 100
183 sir francis bacon (don't know how this will do all mountain...)
183 volkl gotama
at the moment, i'm thinking of getting the 189 seths and the 183 volkl gotamas. my worry is that the gotamas are almost as burly of a ski as the 189 seths, but that's why i'm asking you guys. somebody has to know.
now it's off to find me a park ski.. ahh. as much as i don't like it, i was a fucking park rat this year. i don't give a shit about skiing all mountain as well as park on this ski, so don't offer up things like public enemys. here are some park skis i've been considering-
183 STL
181 T-hall
next years 182 Troublemaker
181 Mojo 80
179 Ninthward Rory Silva Pro
182 Surface Watch Life
179 Maden AK mounted at +10
try to remember that i'm a stick. 6'3" and 155 lbs. my legs most definitely aren't dump truck sized, but i consider myself an advanced aggresive skiier. so... what do you guys think i should do?
since i'm not a huge guy, softer skis usually are a little more up my alley, but i'm open to anything.
thanks for the help.
