Help me get a sixpack from home!

So it's getting cold and very rainy, soon it will start snowing (yes!!!).

That means I can't run or bike anymore, and I'm to young to go to a gym.

I don't really have to money to buy a treadmill or weights or something.

Btw if you wonder for any reason, I'm 14, I'm 5'9 tall and I weigh 140 lbs.

So my question is:

Can I get a sixpack only from home,

with exercises like push-ups, pull-ups, static holds, crunches, sit-ups etc?

Will those exercises burn enough fat to loose 1 - 1.5 inches of bellyfat?

And what exercises would be best to loose fat at home without equipment?

I will eat low fat products, with alot of protein. I will also eat alot of salads and some fruit.

No candy, soda, chocolate and other snack/unhealthy foods.

I was just wondering if any of you knew anything about this, and if you

wanted to help me. Thanks a lot! and +K of course if you help me.

Please don't hate to much, I just want to get a sixpack/get stronger and then look better.

=D

Man a 14 year old is as big as I am, and I'm 21 :(

And the key to a sixpack is more or less diet than working out, We all have a defined six pack ( it may not pop out as well as others, but its there) and the way to make it stand out is cutting that belly fat, what better way with a little exersize a day, preferably plyometrics, and get a really lean diet. Thats how I achieved mine

i thought this was gunna be about you trying to steal beer from your parents fridge lol. but yea just do sit ups and run outside and maybe invest in resistance bands. those r really good to use of almost anything

Maybe you could see if someone you know could drive to the store and pick one up for you? Some convenience stores sell them and like all liquor stores.

just do what I do. drink beer, smoke weed, drink lots of dr. pepper, go on newschoolers a lot, and only have sex every 2 and half months.

thats my routine

I started the insanity work out today... not kidding, I really did. I got it from pirate bay.
Anyway, I did the fitness test and my heart was exploding after. It's not easy doing as many suicides as possible in 60 seconds and then pushups in 60 seconds and so forth at 9000 feet. I've been living at elevation for years and I felt like I moved up yesterday.

You want a six pack? Google the 300 workout. One of the more intense routines I've seen. Awesome for the core and shoulders. You'll have your six pack in no time. Please note, 14 is too young to do any heavy weight training.

im 17 and am the same height and weight (actually 135)

but i have a sixpack, bitch!

All you have to do. (i do this at my gym, but also at home) is do sets of different kinds of situps and core work. do 200 situps (in reps of course) do the plank for as long as you can... then do it again + one minute. get some weights and hold them to your chest. do open leg situps (25+) do bicycles (100+) my friend knows a wicked routine we do at the end of every gym sesh. just google it and learn some basic positions and teniques. set up your own and make sure youre working out all parts of your core not just the abs. and with core workouts you really should be doing chest and legs too. keep everything even.

i just googled and found this. http://sportsmedicine.about.com/od/abdominalcorestrength1/a/NewCore.htm

sparknotes: 200 situps

Thanks alot, +K.

Sounds good, I should probably make a wokoutplan?

With like which exersises, how many reps, and when.

DIET DIET DIET and running. dont be a pussy run, put on sweats and a sweatshirt and run. its what u gotta do bro.

orrr like other people have said get some type of workout plan such as p90x or insanity both work verrryy well. you should burn between 800-1200 calories per 45-60 minute workout that those 2 programs give you.

do ab ripper X every other day and in a couple months you'll have as good abs as you're gonna get for a 14 year old

Jeg går på trening der hver onsdag, i Freidig Freestyle =D

Er det bare å komme hver tirsdag å trene/hoppe på trampoline?

Quality point.

haha same here. Also, I know you said u didn't have money, but if you could buy one medicine ball, it would really go a long way. So many exercices you can do. As long as u get like a regular 10 pound one it should be under $30. Other than that, make sure you actually work out your whole body (doesn't have to be all in one workout), as opposed to "spot training," and then at least 20 minutes of cardio you should be pretty set. i know you said its getting cold, but maybe you could jog with a sweatshirt, or run stairs inside your house or something.

When I was young (maybe 10-11), I started doing sit ups and push ups and that's the way I got my abs. I didn't use any machine or diet, just good old sit ups. Anyways, isn't it more easier when young? Just remember to be consistent and you should have that six pack. However, I have no clue of the required time.

P90x and those type workouts are your best bet if you only have your home to work out in. I think you need to buy weights and one of the pullup things for a door frame. Weights are better than resistence bands so get them if you can afford them but a resistence band isn't bad, you just probably won't gain as much muscle.

The key to abs is overall less body fat which is pretty hard to do compared with just trying to get big biceps or whatever. You reallly need to work out your whole body. So yea just do p90x and you'll be fine workout wise - don't skip anything in it. You can probably get it from pirate bay.

As for diet I would try to find a good one online, bodybuilding.com has some good info/diets. Remember that for abs, diet actualy more important than your routine. Eat smaller meals 5-6 times a day. Only eat good whole grain type carbs - ie brown rice, whole wheat bread, oatmeal etc. (and carbs from vegetables/fruits). Whey protein, egg whites, plain chicken/turkey/tuna, beans, nuts, fat free milk - are all great sources of protein. Also drink a lot of water.

just eat right and be very active outdoors. my entire life has consisted of my parents buying all organic food and whole wheat stuff. even though i don't like it, i realized how much that it's helped me. i've had a six pack for as long as i can remember as a result of just not having any fat over my stomach

diet, run when possible, if you were older then you should lift too because most exercises actually work your abs in the process, and do ab workouts.

for abs, do crunches, sit ups, leg lifts, scissors, planks, side planks, and make sure to include twisting in a lot of the exercises to work your obliques (the muscles on the sides of your abs), because those are important too

running and diet are really key, and after doing all of these you may not get a six pack, simply because for some people getting a six pack is almost impossible due to genetics. I've been working out for 2 years, doing abs for 3, and i can do planks for four times longer than my friends who have six packs and i dont. some people's muscles just dont get as defined as others.

Yes this, I don't have abs showing but I could out do my friend in any ab workout and he is defined. But don't let it discourage you. Could just be a lot more difficult, not impossible.

30 leg lifts

30 bicycles (horizontal)

30 thrusts

30 elevated crunches

30 crunches (reach up right then up left)

all without taking a break in between. Thats how I got my six pack!

you're 14 dude. don't eat fruit roll ups and coca cola. go to after school sports. there, you're getting healthy and having fun. worrying about getting a six pack at 14 is crazy to me.

you boys are light. I thought i was small at 5'9 155. Many good things have been said already. If you have access to a pool, swimming will work wonders.

You did that once every day, and ate 4 - 6 smaller, healthy meals and got sixpack abs?

I should probably add in as many push-ups as I can, and the plank for as long as I can.

But it sounds good.

ski every day....shit is so good for your lower abs which are the toughest to target. skiing moguls is an unbelievable ab workout. also, this may seem ridiculous, but start fishing rivers. if you stand in waist deep water and walk up stream a couple of miles your abs, especially lower abs, will scream. and you might catch some trout which is really good diet food and tastes muy delicioso!!!!
