Hand Drawn Skiing Sequences Thread

Yeah, I've stopped doing them recently, as I've had to seriously buckle down for classes. I'll get some more going in the summer, no doubt. As for selling, sure, anyone interested? : )

my bro did this a while ago.

Dude, damn nice art, how did you do the shading on the first one? And I really like the perspective on the box-slide, nice detail in that one too.

i scanned all of them but the first one, so it came out a little darker, since i took the picture with a camera. its alot bigger than it looks, about 2 1/2 feet by 3/4ths of a foot

damn son. nice work. those are all great. i just have one critique. try to keep your shading a little more uniform so it doesnt show where you changed direction, unless you like the sketchier look. other than that they are great, keep up the good work man.

Eh, you can do so much more in the BC, its where drawing is naturally going to be going in a few years...

I've got some more, I'm scanning them right now.

Unfortunately, this was just an idea I had in class. When I finished, it actually looked pretty good. However, I have my Biology 220 notes on the back, which my scanner picked up. I'll probably redo this one and the other 'noted' one later. But for now, Cork 900 to Switch 360, all in wonderful powder...

Another one with the notes problem. This was done in pencil too, so its worse. Still, you can get the idea. Tailpress on an old broken railroad bridge to 540.

I like this one for some reason. The rotation looks a little weird with the grab, but I like the shadow below the rider, that came out well. I'm going to try to keep doing the shadows in the future. Cork 720 True Double Nose.

All in the spring issue of freeskier...but its still dope and you have a great talent, keep it going! I wish i could draw like that

Another one:

Urban C -rail at some ski area. 270 off. I'm starting to do a lot of open jacket steeze on urban rails now, I like drawing the movements of the coat and how it can show relative speed. I'm adding to this as well, I'm thinking a ski rack or a plastic slow sign near the bottom.

Go and give it a shot, NS can actually be supportive sometimes. At least you'll get your work critiqued so you know what to work on.

I just found this one, I was wondering where this went. Its a sharpie doodle that actually turned out kinda cool. Ignore the dates, those were for plane tickets.

the paper i drew that on is toothed, so it has little ridges running vertically. when drawing on toothed paper, the paper grabs your lead easier, making for a greater range of shading.

Ok, just finished working on this one that I started a few hours ago. Yes, its Jon, modified and glorified a bit from what I remember the original to be. Flare on a huge quarterpipe. Go Sweeden.

Shoot, I screwed it up, this is the higher quality one I meant to post, its got better detail than the other washed out sort of one:

yeah i do most of mine on boxes, like i have one that is a huge gap to flat down box... and some urban kinks, i cant remember where they are though....if i find them, i will upload them

Ok, more to post!

I have another one, but I'm going to need a bit more time to get this thing up. You'll see what I mean when I post it.

These are all awesome..

I spent the last 15 min going though the entire thread...

I wish I could draw skiers..my best piece this year is a painting of a Muppet from Fraggle Rock.

BIG BOY!

Yeah, so I started drawing and ran out of paper, so I just kept adding more. I need larger pieces of paper methinks. And you have no idea how frustrating it was trying to link all these pictures together only using Paint. I have to get photoshop.
