played it at friends. fun? yes. but it should have been way beter, the graphics arent as good as they could be, only small details made better than halo 2 and they kept so many old levels.

i feel it should have com out like half a year ago.

still a fun game though - just not as good as all the hype built around it.
 
i worked my ass off to get both a 360 and outerwear, i feel great about myself. either way, ski anything..its hands down better than any video game.
 
jesus halo 3 multiplayer kicks ass, best multiplayer yet. and I love how so many people are bashing on halo, please don't tell me your schedule is so jam-packed you don't have time to spend playing videogames. even with school/work/skiing/partying/other shit I still have PLENTY of free time. also its retarded to say people who camped out for halo have no life, there isn't much going on at 12 AM on a tuesday. I didnt camp out because personally I can wait, halo 3 didnt go anywhere in the week I had to wait for a paycheck.

I think the reason its so much better than halo 2 is that the default weapon, the assault rifle, is so much better than the SMG. I rarely use anything else, except if I feel like changing it up for fun. halo 2 was cool but I only liked the close-up levels, I would go like 20 in 2 or sometimes zero deaths because I would just take the shotgun or sword and wait for people to run into me, and just crouch-walk around. but it felt cheap, and I got pwned on the big levels.

its funny cause we had a halo 2 capture the flag tournament in high school, and yeah some nerds played, but the teams that did the best were the least nerdy kids. our team did pretty well but mainly cause my friends little bro played and had around 25 headshots per game. hes sick.
 
You know why people like halo so much more than other FPS? Because you can jump so high. Being able to jump makes it so much easier to move around and makes the game flow so much better. How many times have you gotten pissed at call of duty because you had to walk around the 4 foot high pile of sandbags? Even Gears of War suffers because it just doesn't feel like you are as free to move around in Halo.
 
well how come we were playing? we had no school at that time. maybe lots of those people were in the same situation: just had fuckall to do like we did.

i like how the plasma pistol drains when you hold it now just so that you cant pull that stunt. i also like how you cant fly like 15 feet with the sword anymore. its way less cheap. but the needler...oh man the needler is out of hand haha. i find the weapons are much more balanced now.

ill be in the same boat when i move it. i go to college too but i live at home and my brother and i split the cost of our 360 and halo 3. i think ill just take the original xbox with me whe i peace
 
Anyone who says you're pathetic for playing halo online has ahhviously never played halo online before, best game ever.
 
once you discover the duel brute shot gun ( i don't know the proper name, and im way too fuckin lazy to check it), you don't go back to anything else.

srsly, they need to get rid of that gametype in matchmaking, or make it rare. half the games I play are shotty snipers. if i want to play a game where you have to be extremely accurate I'll play counterstrike or something.
 
shotty snipers is fun but what i really want to see less of is team rockets. i fuuuuuuucking hate team rockets
 
Im still playing halo 2.

I was playing rumble pit snipers yesterday on Burial Grounds... fucking 25:0. everybody thought I was cheating. So many epic no-scopes, also got 2 triple kills and a killtacular. It was by far the finest game of snipers I've ever played.
