Unless you are 100% vegan you have Zero moral authority here.
The definition of helplessness is domesticated cattle.
Bred into utter stupidity and without instinct to live in a pen until slaughter in a meat packing plant. Why? So one can spare themselves the discomfort and inconvenience of having to kill their own food. So we can waste it carefree like a cheap mass produced commodity. That is truly unjustifiable.
To hunt & take the life of an animal with your own hand is to understand the cycle of life & the impact of our existence. This animal was wild, free in body and spirit. To take it’s life is to feel the thrill, the grief, sadness and gravity of the situation. It is an authentic human experience. In this we understand that life is sacred, eating meat is an action that one should not take lightly.
This experience is absent in modern life, thus society treats meat with mindless consumption leading to over production, waste, pollution, etc.
IMO: Shallow and empty people who hunt and waste, do not use/donate the meat they harvest are despicable, but no more so than the average wasteful consumer.
