truth.
scheters are really nice guitars. my guitar teacher who's won a Juno award in canada and has been teaching for 30 years has 2 and he loves playing them. he sounds amazing too. i hate how all these metal heads think all the original guitar companies are shit just because their guitars don't have the latest floyd rose or EMGs. you have to play what suits your style. of course a fender tele won't really suit you if you play death metal, but don't think its shit and reccomend some supped up ibanez for someone that wants to play some clean chilli peppers.
anyways, i recently picked up a Fender Lite Ash Telecaster for 400 dollars canadian on kijiji. its mint. its a Korean made tele (better than mexican) with lite ash body and Seymour Duncan pickups. its a nice crossover mexican to american tele and sounds beautiful. plus the thing looks amazing. perfect if your looking for that jimi hendrix, clapton, chilli peppers, pink floyd sound.
also, im assuming you bought the strat pack and have a 15w amp. if i were you i would buy an amp first, it'll be the most noticeable change in sound and it can make playing so much funner. check out peavey, vox, roland, and avoid marshall, line 6, and fender (fender only if you plan on playing the blues). if your looking for something like a line 6, get something from the vox advt series. theyre hybrid amps that are solid state, but they have a tube in the preamp. i just got one and i love the thing to death.
