Grouse

So anyone want to give a non-biased summary of what's in the parks at both Grouse and Seymour? Too much bullshit to sort through, it would be nice to just have that to look at.

I cant speak on behalf of grouse, but when I was seymour on monday the park was the following;

Your choice of down box, down rail, or DFD rail.

Then either a medium jump or large jump maybe 25ft??, then medium or large maybe 30ft???, if you skipped the last jump you could hit the power box, then your choice of red ledge or double set.

The pit was small DF, down rail, LRG thingy, another down rail on the side,32 box thing, down Corry-P, flat corry p and dragon box thing.

Grouse has int he Quick park:

Right line: 20 foot elbow rail (hard + fun) into 32 foot decently high up skinny down bar

Left line: 20 foot flat box into 40 foot flat down boxrail like 5 feet in the air at its kink.

You can cross over the lines if you pole push a bit

Both lines lead into a sick rainbow with an actual lip on and then an up flat up which i super fun.

Unfortunately Grouse is only open half way down the cut but the lift is still better than Seymours lift

Jib park has on the right 20 foot down box into 16 foot down boxrail. Left is the pontoon thing into down rail. There's also a 20 foot flat bar which is good for 450s out and beyond.

Seymour has what ^ said.

what the fuck is the point of this?

just give it up for like five minutes.

anyway, does anyone know when they're picking the winner for the grouse photo contest?

Maybe it was a slow day but I've seen that jump cleared fine in 12 degree weather with a mountain of slush for a landing on the first jump. It's fine.

well when its snowing milkshake snow nothing is hittable, Durrrbet grouses jumps were so killer on that day too! does grouse even have jumps or did they finally close that shithole for the season

Had a fresh wax, nobody could hit it. If it can be hit without having to actually worry about being able to make it then that's good, just didn't seem like it while I was up there.

Just meant that it should be easily hittable without tucking and hucking and apparently it is so I take back whatever I said

Yeah when you first look at it looks sick but the jumps are whack from all the noobs rolling over them and casing them cause its impossible to get speed and the rail setup is kinda weird.

Updates on seymour parks anyone?
If anyone cares cypress is:
3 medium ( same size as grouses last month ) jumps.flat downDFDup flat downc boxa bunch of shitty hips and jibs

andrewh, best in BC is a stretch... but most creative and best rails in BC I'll give you that.

Although this is the best I've seen lodge in the past 3 years. I only went to hike up to the peak on Sunday but what I remember its down rail, DF box, 3 jump line like 25-30ft each (all look sick), toe jammer box on the side, red ledge, electric box, double set.

and then the pit was mixed up but my memory can't remember what exactly was going on, but looked fun.

Whistler's park is fucking awesome, I'm sure if it was the exact same park, but at Seymour you would be the first to proclaim it the most incredible thing to ever happen to skiing, so once again:
bi·as –noun1.an oblique or diagonal line of direction, esp. across a woven fabric.2.a particular tendency or inclination, esp. one that prevents unprejudiced consideration of a question; prejudice.

Let's see... I go to Whistler and I can hit 8 jumps 6 rails in a run if I take the big line on Whistler, Seymour I can hit 2-3 of each. Oh yeah, highest level?

Seymour might have the best park of the 3 shore hills but really? all of B.C?

My guess is 4 jump line in northlands and 4 in pit?
But thats dirty, stoked to spend last week at the locals at seymour.

all the way down from northlands to bottomdont really know on the jibs, but i dont think theres gonna be too much which is fuckn stoops
