No, there's no confusion. I have a "real job" behind a desk working in town (Park City), graduated college with honors, etc. The problem with the real jobs in Park City is that they generally under-pay because they know demand is high to live and work here. Couple that with the high cost of living(especially in Old Town) and the fact that you aren't doing it frat house style with 6 roommates, and you aren't left with a lot of spare cash. From talking with friends in town I'd say most jobs here that require a college degree probably pay somewhere in the $25-$35k/yr bracket... so yes, paying the same rate as multi-millionare seasonal residents does in fact suck.
