Goodbye, MANNY

i know it was time for him to go because of all the shit hes been talking but its just terrible for the sox. It would have been really bad for the team to keep him around with such a shitty attittude recently but we just lost a TON of offense.

Also manny was on my plane to L.A. this morning

nice claim haha. but anyway, good riddance. i don't think we lost a ton of offense considering he stopped even trying to run to 1st (and getting booed). manny's crappy attitude was wearing on the team, like when he and youkilis got into it...meh.

Guys, are you kidding me? Manny is an absolute egomaniac. He's selfish, arrogant, defensively incompetent, and most importantly, unhappy. Have you looked at Bay and Manny's stats? They're nearly identical. Yes, Manny is having a down year. Have you considered that Bay's numbers are deflated due to the fact that he is a part of arguably the worst line up in baseball? Bay gets garbage to hit because they have no other threats on their dismal club. Bay will see a lot of hittable pitches as a sock...and he'll hit them. Is Bay skill for skill the player Manny is? No. Is Bay psyched to finally play for a contender in a city where baseball is a holy thing? Yes.

I am a Philadelphia fan. I have suffered through T.O. and late era A.I. We dumped both of them and received essentially (and literally) nothing in return. I can unequivocally say that both teams were instantly better for having severed ties with such self absorbed, media courting, assholes. This, like my examples, are truly examples of addition by subtraction. Throw in the fact that you got a good player in return and it's a fantastic deal.
