God save the Robots was one of the WORST movies i have ever seen. I watched it this weekend and at first me and about 15 other people thought it was a funny joke, but then we realised that it wasnt. Filming was so bad, the BC jumps are small and most of the tricks (about 70%) are falls. It was a shity menu, and put togeather like shit. Walker and the clown had some good tricks but there segments are shit. I dont know who the fuck made it but they need to never make a movie agian. The movie is about 10 min long, and there are many repeat tricks, the clown had 7 or so of the same shots doing a 450 on 270 off a box. The best segment was Witt and IT WAS ONLY ONE FUCKING SHOT, a nice 270 on prez 270 out.

Anyone who is thinking about getting this movie go toss your money to another compney and shop.

i liked it, it was very entertaning, i agree with the crappy filming and stuff, but the last part with the workout stuff was awsome, and there are also cool extras.

i thought it was ok, it annoyed the shit out of me that there was not a still shot. but i dont think the movie was supposed to be a big trick blow you away movie, it was fun and i liked it.

great fall section, most falls i have seen in a while. and the rest of the bonus footage was repeat footage from the movie part, with a few diffrent tricks, and also more falls.

its funny that this is the review ns gives the trailer, how much it didnt live up to the hype of its trailer:

Static Films - God Save the Robots

Robots and the Jibij team? Hell yes!!! This is looking to be one of the better am videos this fall, with a slew of mostly Colorado-based jibbers displaying their talent on big park jumps and gnarly wood rails. This teaser shows every sign of a good movie to come: brutal crashes, police cars and spinning skulls included.

so wait...chromeo mercury tears was used in mack dawgs movie last year (i think it was that). so, another case of biting music off of snowboarding movies indirectly. big surprise. itd be cool if skiers weren't like "hey, they used that band in some big boarding movie last year...different song, fair game for this year".

oh well, 2 more months or so til skiing starts again.

umm, THEORY 3 used RAGE by chromeo last year, so i don't see what's the problem with using a song just beacause the band was used before.

i dont see how some of you kids liked this movie its like 15 minutes and like 10 of it is either crash or them horribly failing in back country and thenanother 5 min of them not cleaning urb rails

shut up. does anyone else care if a song they like on a new film is used, ok not even used, by last years snowboarding films. i know i dont??

I'm not going to rail on your last comment here, because people spend to much time bashing on other people here. BUT...having fun is NOT all that matters when you make a movie to sell. Static didn't give this movie away free, and I presume they didn't donate their profits. As such, they made this movie to generate a profit, which is the ultimate goal of any business. Whether their profit is small or large or nothing at all doesn't matter.

Anyway, stick to your guns and say what you feel (as long as we're not talking lots of shit), because criticism can very often be insightful. It doesn't make sense to have lots of people buy this film if it's not worth the money. Your comments, if true, will be helpful.

P.S. sick thread title

Garage band loop for sponsor intro, song from Robot Food movie and song from Yeah Right skate film. Throw in the monster mash and captain planet songs and i would say static could use a new audio director.

shots = shit. i am a VERY amature film maker and i still can't understand how you can be that bad with a cam. the movie MIGHT have been better if he invested in a tripod but i doubt it. it is still full of pretty bad music and even worse backcountry skiing. if it's supposed to represent how fun skiing is i think anyone who has seen it would agree it does a horrible job at that.

yea the robot food sound tracks do kick ass, but that is becuse it goes with the editing in there movies so well. unlike god save the robots.
