i dont know why you keep callin me out man, i try and be friendly but whatever. i dont try and act high and mighty or whatever but i try and promote myself because that is what skiing is, a business, however i dont put my best tricks under my profile to claim hahaha... and i dunno what a "cliche" trick is, but if my tricks are "cliche" what are yours?

I see people in here like "Stop hating." Truth is... People have EVERY right to hate on the movie, praise it, or just simply review it, or just say whatever they want about it. Why? Because JIBIJ put it out. FOR MONEY. You put yourself directly in the line of criticism when you go out and make a movie to sell. A for PROFIT movie should be more than "we are just trying to have fun, lay off of us." That is what high school video classes are for. And from what people are saying, this doesn't even sound as good as a high school video. But I'm buying it. Why? because it is well worth my 12 bucks to show the world how horrible Jon Hartman is. I can't wait. Your time has finally come, buddy! See you at Loveland in a month! I'll be the one laughing at your ass.

just chill the fuck out. we all have freedom of speech yes, but that doesnt mean for us all to so and kill ian cosco for defending someone...or matt because he said skiing is a business...( and i hate to say it but when it comes down to it IT IS...how do u think these pros get money?? u dont think that matt wants to earn a salary doing what he loves? which is obvisouly skiing??)

basically..everyone chill out...there is no reason for everyone to start cutting eachother up because a bunch of people didnt like the movie...they have their opinions, you have yours.

first off to clear something up, jibij did NOT make the movie, their just selling it. A seperate complany, static, is the one that made it...

everyone needs to get over hating on cosco, if you've ever met the kid you'd know he isn't this asshole everyone makes him out to be on here. It's real mature to talk shit on someone based on a movie seggy, or what other people say on an online forum.
 
yeah the movie was kind of lame, but it was cheap, and out earlier than most. I still think Jibij is cool, and I still respect all the riders.

im not even goign to jump into this argument, but all i have to say is that everyone has a right to hate on a movie they were charged for. plain and simple.
 
im glad scratch caught onto that one as well...thats kind of a weird thing to be saying man....but back to the main subject, yeah this movie really was not at all what i was expecting...pretty dissapointed.

ya i bought static's last movie (gemini) and that was kinda the same from what ive been hearing, the trailer was good but the movie was litleraly 15 minutes long and that crash in the trailer was fake so there was some false advertising goin on there.. so i decided to never buy a movie from them again.
 
Ok people I haven't seen the movie but quit being huge bags of douche. I mean it's good to see a review, and "God save your 12$" made me laugh but it's stuff like this that makes NS suck. Everyone just has to hate on somthing

ineedarealname the fact that you have no respect for us gives me no respect for you. i respect eveyone who skis, and does what they love to do. but when you put your self, movie or product out there get ready to get some flack. i hated god save the robots becuse it was poorly put togeather and i dont think anyone was expecting that. however i still have respect for all the people in it and who put it togeather. if you had any idea what I HATE NY has to work with and still put out a decent product im sure you would have plenty respect for us. you may still hate us, but respect us.

also shane did come up with the kick ass name for the thread

Don't try to back pedal and blame your shit talking on drugs. When you or anyone else comes on newschoolers you need to realize we're all just skiers, and hating everything isn't going to get shit done. You didn't like the movie, alright, you guys are making your own, good for you. You know what it's like to work hard, spend an entire year on something. We wanted to do a movie a little different, we cut out all the filler, no beauty shots of the skiers, no timelapses either. We picked wacky songs because we liked them and thought they worked towards what we were trying to do. No individual skier segments, this movie was more of a group effort. Each segment was grouped differently, and yes, there is a box/screwing around segment. Often times I find myself getting bored watching some ski movies, they're just to long and drawn out, to beautiful. We decided to leave those films up the the guys who've been making them for a long time like that. What we ended up with is a movie shorter than normal because of it. There's a bunch of bonus features, and even some hidden stuff. We set the price way low and got shirts made to sweeten the deal. As far as hype, what fucking hype? Which issue do we have a full page spread in? Our trailer is posted the movie trailers page. Kami liked the trailer so he put it in an editorial. And how was the trailer any different than the movie? Sorry if you don't like the movie but it's pretty close to what we wanted to make. I'd be happy to discuss things further with anyone who cares. But if you're just going to hate for the sake of hate then go fuck yourself. At some point calling people out and talking shit online will seem retarded, don't worry you'll get there. And don't tell me I'll respect you, because you've lost that, I don't care how well you can ski.
 
fair enough, it wasnt that i dont respect you/rest of bogart crew, i was just pissed that you made such a huge thread on it. i apologize for my previous statements although i still dont agree with the thread.
