Not my favorite Tarantino film and it honestly felt too short to me, but I believe that's because there was no element of suprise due to me hounding the internet for news on the movie every other day because I'm such a Tarantino geek, therefore, I pretty much knew everything I was going to be seeing. Anyway, the movie was still phenomenal, just not my favorite by Quentin. I loved the action, however, the dialogue wasn't as good as I thought it would be. Quentin usually has the characters go on extremely entertaining monologues that really show the depth of the character, however, there were none for Django (the character, that is). I believe this is because he is such a soft-spoken character and is so used to being silenced as he was a slave before bounty hunting, but I would've really loved a good monologue from him.
Christoph Waltz was nothing short of fantastic. Such an amazing actor and performer. I loved his character. Leo pulled off Calvin Candie perfectly and I never thought once during the movie "Damn, he's good at acting" because I completely forgot I was watching actors. They simply just BECAME their characters. Overall, I give them film an 8/10 and that is by Tarantino standards, normal would be 10/10 because there is no one else like QT.
See this movie for sure.
