Go-pro fever

I bought one for myself, and I blow ass at park. Guess what? I like having an easy to use camera to look at my skiing, it helps me see what I can do better, and it's pretty goddamn fun.

Not like I really even ski park anyway

Lol, wait in line at any alpine lift in Whistler on a pow day and there will be at least 11 people with them at that one line. When me and my buddy's are filming there is 5 between us (only 1 gopro though, 4 contours)

The more people buy these things, regardless their skill level, the better it is for you in the long run. More money, more exposure, more features, better features... It's a good thing people can still spend money on the companies that will give you cooler things. I have GoPro fever, and the only prescription, is more awesome videos of kids shredding, and barring that, more support for GoPro.

GOD DAMN KIDS. seriously, who just lets kids go out and slowly progress in a sport that they love! whats wrong with people!

/sarcasm
but realistically i did see like 10 kids with go pros, but what really bothered me was seeing a few snowboarders with a $1800 camera filming in the worst possible conditions, jsut cause it was a nice camera and it was raining

every other person at killy has one. Its ridiculous that 60 year old men have them who barely know how to work cellphones

I bought a go pro at the beginning of the year and saw one other guy with one at my home mountain. Then the days after Christmas i saw at least 20 people with them, i would say half of them were 13 and half were 30+. I don't mind it at all, but it annoys me slightly when they think they are the shit because the have a go pro.

I bought a go pro during christmas. I know, I'm no hipster. But this thing is fun! I don't think I suck at skiing and this thing shoots quality stuff.

It's cool that I can actually show my POV to my parents, now they really understand that skiing is not that easy.

I believe it's a great thing that more and more people have it.

i still have the original gopro wrist cam. does that make me hardcore? it takes 10 second video clips and has this wrist mount that i still don't understand how to use

dude in Vail almost everybody has them, little kids who suck have them a lot, but i saw some good skiers with them. I think it looks weird with the mount on top of your helment though. I think the side mounts look cooler and are less noticable

This year I was shocked by how many people have Go-Pros at my hill. It seems like they're EVERYWHERE.

Most of the kids that have them just straight rails or ski runs... at first I was a hater but I figured eh, they're probably enjoying the hell out of them so who cares.

not only 12 years old kids have them... at my local resorts it's about half that and the other half is people doing regular trails and like filming their girlfriends and stuff , like wtf nobody wants to watch clips about your friends or girlfriend doing pizza slice turns and going 5 km/h -_- i'm like dude gimme that so i can make good use of it :P

Went to whistler last week, and i swear in every single lift line at least 10 or more people of all backgrounds were wearing gopros. This is after only seeing 1 or 2 being used ever before this season.

Not hating, but did those commercials over the summer really have that big of an effect?

op needs to pull his head out of his arse and stop caring about other people enjoying skiing...

so your saying you dont take it out because other people have one? thats pretty dumb i know a few people that have them and i still use mine, sounds like you only use yours to have people look at you.

yeah there are a lot of them. I don't have any problem with it but I don't really understand why you would take it out on a really crappy day. whatever, it's a good way to ski a lot and still take some good photos/videos
