I took this a little to seriously, and made a 40ft jump into a 65ft jump and landed completely flat. smashed my jaw on my knee, chipped my tooth.(saddly did not get it on video) Is there any way to take an impact like that without injuring myself

Wut?

I have out jumped the landing hill occasionally. If you land centered, you will eat patella. If your feet are a little forward and spread out, you will collapse back and between your skis. Keep your back rounded and as you start to impact the snow, slap your hands on the snow out to either side of you.

Not saying that you should overshoot just to test this out, but if you really screw up and are still going up when you clear the knuckle, this may save you from the indignity OP is describing.

tldr: Absorb back and left/right while pressing into tails. (that was the key - getting the force to flex the tail of ski)

I was going really fast once and realized there was a jump only a couple of meters away on the flat. Couldn't do anything to stop. Took it normally. Thing went into slo-mo. I had this thought midair to absorb sideways into the tails upon landing. So I landed normally, but then leaned back and sideways to let my body keep falling sideways and then back into the ground (but not going limp - keeping the pressure on my feet and applying pressure to the rear of the ski the whole time during impact.) I ended up using my arms to breakfall to my left. Skis stayed relatively straight but pressed rearward to the left . Bounced back up. Skied off no probs, very slight bruise to foerarm later on, knees were pressured upward but nothing unnatural, hurt for a little while after. Wouldn't want to do it bigger.

They gap is 40 feet but if you jump 65 you hit flat? So the landing is only 15 long? Sniper tranny. Advise, don't hit sketchy stuff. It's not worth it.

Watch free runners vids when they do big drops to flat.

Keep in mind, landing backseat there is also a chance you will fuck up your ACL if your DIN is too high

basically your fucked anyway

2 weeks ago I sent a 55 ft jump like 25 past the knuckle and landed on my side. I broke my arm in 3 spots. Out for the season. Caught and edge on a switch 9. Sent it to flaaaat
