Go huge land flat

overjumped third jump in public at timberline this summer. thats how i tore my ACL. someone said dont check too much, snow is sticky and i hadnt waxed my skis in weeks so i tucked and went allll the way to flat. anyone who was there this summer knows that jump was huge. i hit pretty hard and stood up from it but my edge caught and thats what tore the ACL. for fuck sake i was so close....i just had to ski away. it was literally like that one vid of that snowboarder landing like 100 foot to flat. ceot i caught an edge and ate shit.

Yeah, I love to put as much stress as possible on my ACLs too.

and I can't help but watch that dumont video every time it pops up... I literally have nightmares about this, somehow launching ridiculously high up and just waiting until I slam into the ground.

honestly there is nothing you can really do to make an overshoot not hurt but my advice is to not try to actually land it because you'll end up hurting yourself more. You should land feet first and just let your body fall to the ground which should help to absorb some of the impact. If you try to land it chances are your going to blow your acl and break an ankle because your body is tensed up for impact.
